Every day we each think thousands of thoughts, and because of this we talk to ourselves more than anyone else. Each person is their own most trusted advisor and friend. We are filled with self-doubt, anxiety, sadness, guilt, pain and despair, so we never easily share the conversations we have with ourselves because doing so often exposes our own weaknesses.
These belief and ego systems are built into us, these negative beliefs are created by ourselves, and are assumed to be true. Sadly, nothing could be further from the truth.
Where do these false ideas about themselves originate? These are mostly from others; Colleagues, friends, parents, teachers, neighbors and many others. They may plant the seed by saying something like "she's fat," and you've cultivated these comments to the point where they become true to themselves.
No one has the right or power to define who I am. We let our entire lives be controlled by some vague comment made years ago. In fact, we ourselves cannot always know who we are and what is in our hearts.
When you were born, you entered this world without the burden of the current negative belief system. You entered this world as a beautiful bundle of joy filled with beautiful potential.
This is also a sign that you have not changed yourself. You are still and always will be a beautiful bundle of joy with limitless possibilities and possibilities.
The only difference is where your attention is. Ask you a question? If you stop all the negative talk you are currently having, such as;
- I am quite fat
- Why would anyone want to love me?
- I will never be thin
- I always fail
How about if this list goes on and on? Do you think that you will feel mentally lighter? Do you think that you will feel happy? Do you think you will feel more confident?
Now, how do you think your life would change, if you went one step further and changed your negative self-talk by only talking positively about yourself. If you take some time and focus on what you love about yourself and only, your mental state will become so positive that you will be able to accomplish anything.
Once you start looking for the positive things in yourself, you will realize that your greatness is always just below the surface. You were nothing but that bright bundle of joy that entered the world years ago. It's easy to uncover your positive aspects by asking a few questions.
- Am I good?
- Who or what I have benefited by being on earth?
- Who am I, only I know what is in my heart?
- What do I like about my body?
Good feelings will gradually awaken from within you. Notice that if you only think positively about yourself, you will feel better, you will be happier. Decide here and now how you want to feel. Decide that you will always look for the good in you and appreciate that goodness.
So what does all this have to do with weight loss? Your state of mind is the control valve that determines what you draw into your experience. How you talk to yourself creates your beliefs by programming your subconscious. So you have to ask yourself if you want your beliefs and subconscious programming to be based on false negative thoughts. Or do you want your faith to be based on the truth, that you are and always have been a perfect being.
Start loving and nurturing yourself today. Love and appreciate yourself every chance you get. Let the joy, playfulness, and enthusiasm that you naturally had as a child flow into your everyday experiences. Allow yourself to celebrate every success, no matter how small. Do this daily and watch your weight begin to melt away just as your old negative beliefs about yourself begin to dissolve.
