This will be the first World Cup ever to be held in the Arab world, [1] and the second World Cup held entirely in Asia after the 2002 tournament in South Korea and Japan.[a] In addition, the tournament will be the last to involve 32 teams, with an increase to 48 teams scheduled for the 2026 tournament in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Due to Qatar's intense summer heat, this World Cup will be held from late-November to mid-December, making it the first tournament not to be held in May, June, or July; it will be played in a reduced timeframe of around 28 days.[2]
The first match played at the tournament will be contested between Senegal and the Netherlands at Al Thumama Stadium, Doha. The final is due to be held on 18 December 2022, which is also Qatar National Day. The reigning World Cup champions are France.[3]

its name La'eeb

There is an Official video about La'eeb
Perhaps it was its striking colors or that it raised awareness about the animal's environmental threat. The first-ever mascot in 1996, Willie the lion with a Union Jack in all its glory, is fondly remembered by fans. Willie was conjured up by one of Enid Blyton's illustrators, a commercial artist named Reg Hoye.
La'eeb is an Arabic word meaning “Super-skilled player,” and it “will bring the joy of football to everyone,” according to FIFA. This official Mascot of the FIFA World Cup 2022 is based on a “Gutra (An Arabic headdress also known as keffiyeh),” which is a traditional piece of Qatari clothing

A legacy for the community
Located on the shores of the Gulf, located across the water from Doha's dazzling West Bay skyline, Stadium 974 is a spectacular venue for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ matches. Following the tournament's conclusion, the stadium will make way for a waterfront development for local people to enjoy.
A legacy for the world
As well as providing invaluable infrastructure to sporting projects far and wide, Stadium 974 also gives global stadium developers and tournament planners a fine example to follow.
The venue's temporary nature and clever modular design mean that fewer building materials were required than in traditional stadium building, which helped to keep construction costs down.
And with other projects reusing the seats, roof and other components of the arena, parts of the venue will be utilised for years and even decades to come.
Minimising construction costs and ensuring regular future use were the key ingredients in making this stadium – and sporting mega-events – sustainable.
Stadium 974 has created an innovative blueprint that many others will follow.
