Indian Space Research Organization ISRO is the national space agency of India, headquartered in Bangalore. In perhaps its longest mission, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) effectively launched nine satellites including an Earth Perception Satellite (EOS-06) into different orbits with the help of the space organization's Polar Satellite Send Off Vehicle (PSLV-C54). This is the 56th iteration of the Polar Satellite Send Off Vehicle (PSLV) and the 24th iteration of the PSLV-XL optimization with 6 PSOM-XL.

 

Cooperative mission

 

The EOS-06 is envisioned to capture ocean variability information, sea surface temperature and wind vector information for use in oceanographic, climate and meteorological applications. The satellite also supports value-added items, for example, chlorophyll, SST and wind speed, and potential fishing areas using land-based geophysical boundaries.

 

ISRO Administrator S. Somnath said the mission has been achieved and all the satellites have been put in their expected orbits. "For our purposes, the India-Bhutan satellite is a significant achievement in the entire existence of the collaboration of Indian and Bhutanese researchers."
