"LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE" is one of the most common complaints customers have against businesses of all sizes.

We've all been on the receiving end of a phone call while trying to obtain basic information or expecting to hear the voice of a real person who can answer a few questions. On a recent working day, I called the United States Postal Service to inquire about sending a box to the United Kingdom. I received a voice mail message instructing me to leave my name and phone number and someone would contact me

IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO BELIEVE! I was flabbergasted that I had been outdone! You're telling me that a massive organization like the USPS can't afford to hire enough staff to answer the phones on a regular working day!

I ordered some information from a small mail order business a few weeks ago. My order would be delayed until the check cleared, according to the order details. As a result, I sent money ($16.00) instead of a check. For three weeks, I had not received my order. I don't know how you feel about it, but I think this is horrible customer service

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

Why does so many businesses appear to be lacking in this area?

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE PROBLEM?

Why does it appear that so many businesses are clueless when it comes to providing their customers? Why do huge corporations like airlines, hotels, and car rental firms make clients jump through hoops just to access their services?

Some firms may have become so large that they believe the public has no choice but to do business with them. Poor customer service, for any cause, is terrible for business.

I could go on and on about bad customer service encounters I've had. But I'm sure you could come up with your own examples of bad customer service.

The idea is that we all believe our money should be appreciated when we spend it on a product or service. In most cases, we just take our business elsewhere when we receive terrible customer service.
