How our Hairs turn white?

Everyone wishes to have long, beautiful, and healthy thick hairs because the hairs play an essential role in enhancing our Beauty. But, nowadays, the problem of hair fall, damaged strands and, white hair is faced by millions of people worldwide. This problem is seen in all age groups, but mostly in young boys and girls.

The problem of hair fall and white hair somehow has the exact causes, but here we will try to understand the cause of white coats.

What makes the hairs Black?

Our hair is made of a colorless protein called keratin. It means our hairs are white before coming out from hair follicles, A pigment called "Melanin" is present inside our hair follicles, which is responsible for the color of the strands.

There are two types of Melanin one is present in our skin, and One is in hair follicles. The skin and hair bristles have cells called melanocytes that produce the pigment, "Melanin" which is responsible for our skin and hair color. So when the amount of Melanin pigment is high, our skin and hair become dark. When the production of Melanin is low, our hair and skin become gray or white.

The production of Melanin is triggered by different sources such as sunlight, hormones, etc., but the most significant stimulus is sunlight.

 Causes of white hairs

Some time the melanocytes cells present in hair follicles fail to produce a significant amount of Melanin. This can be due to various reasons: hot shower, chemicals in shampoo, blow-drying, bleaching of the hairs, hormonal imbalance, unhealthy diet, or any other issue inside the body. These products can affect melanocytes' cells layer and inhibit Melanin production. But one of the leading causes of white hair is "hair color."

Colouring of the hairs

One of the leading causes of white hair is the color mainly used by young boys and girls for fashion. Most people have noticed that once they have colored their white coats, the whole hair turns white. This happens due to the ammonia present inside hair colors. Ammonia act is an irritant; it gets stuck inside hair follicles and becomes rigid. Ammonia disturbs melanocytes cells' activities and inhibits Melanin production.

Prevention

1_Choose the products wisely

You can save your hair from turning white if you choose the products wisely. Avoid the products that contain ammonia or other such chemicals because they are the most significant cause of depletion of the melanocytes layer. These are the enemies of hairs.

2_Oiling.

Oil is an essential food for healthy hair. It is not only good for hair growth. But it also keeps the melanocytes layer healthy, makes coats shiny, prevents them from damage. It also controls hairs from turning white and splitting.

3_Healthy diet

Diet is the most crucial part of healthy hair. Food containing a high amount of protein, such as fish, meat, etc., is suitable for hair growth. Green vegetables and fruits are also essential because they contain the vital vitamins and minerals necessary for keratin protein and fulfill the demand for hair growth.
