Manila, Philippines- DFA is trying to remove the travel cap as soon as possible. The secretary of DFA thinks that travel cap is making a lot of trouble to our country people. Our country people who are living in abroad right now cannot come to our country in Christmas because of travel cap.
In the same way, the flight ticket is very expensive. People are still facing a lot of cancellation of flight because of travel cap. For example, if you are travelling from Dubai to Manila, it will cost you almost 3960.0 AED. Moreover, if you are traveling from Los Angeles to Manila one way, it will cost 1382 USD. So we can clearly understand that the flight tickets are so expensive as of now.
Right now, only 4000 people are allowed to enter in Manila every day while Cebu covers 2000 people. In addition, Clark Airport is covering 500 people every day and other airports are covering 1000 all together.
It is important to mention that DFA secretary is supporting to remove quarantine in yellow list countries alone with green list countries so that people can come to our country to have a better Christmas day.
He is suggesting to have only two to three days in hotel after arriving in our country. Within this time, they can get the result of PCR test. After receiving the PCR test, they can go to their house directly.
It is significant to mention that private sectors are supporting to remove quarantine for yellow list countries. Recently, government included few countries in green list such as Dubai, Japan, India, Oman and so on. But there are still a lot of countries where our people are living right now such as America, United Kingdom and Canada.
However, there is a meeting between government today or next week. It is expected that will get some good news from there.
Some people believe that Cebu can easily cover 4000 people every day by maintaining the safety protocols. Furthermore, the positivity rates in international arrival are less than 2%.
It is noted that from 28 October to 3 November, 98 cases found from International arrivals. Some specialists believe that yellow list countries are facing trouble like America and Europe.
It is happy to say that Philippines is started to give booster to healthcare workers. Health workers can choose their brand in terms of taking booster shorts.
