New footage of Johnny saving kids in need has shocked the world! Contrary to what Amber Heard wants us all to believe, Johnny Depp has a kindhearted and loving soul. He has always carried out numerous philanthropic activities all over the world and visited children’s hospitals to spread joy among sick kids, but this one video back from 2015 that has resurfaced has sent the internet into meltdown. Back in the fall of 2015, before his performance in Rio de Janeiro with his band Hollywood Vampires, Johnny Depp and his wife Amber Heard joined forces to do some good. The couple, as well as band members Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum, Bruce Witkin, and Tommy Henriksen, teamed up with the Starkey Hearing Foundation to distribute hearing aids to over 200 children and adults.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor gave customized, free hearing aids to Brazilian patients in need, many of who were finally able to hear clearly for the very first time in their lives. First, Depp carefully watched a doctor demonstrate how to place the device in a young girl's ear before taking over and doing it himself. This was when a genuinely heartfelt moment took place that will move everyone to tears.
At one point, Johnny put a hearing aid in a cute young girl’s ears and saw her react joyfully to it. This made almost everyone present fight back tears as they became overcome with emotion. Such a wholesome moment depicting to the world what a gem Johnny is and how he doesn’t just flaunt his money but is deeply invested in making peoples’ lives better, unlike Heard, who was just present there for PR.
Following the hearing aid fittings, recipients were transported to the Rock in Rio festival, where many were able to hear live music for the very first time. The Starkey Hearing Foundation, which abides by the mission statement "So the World May Hear," fits more than 100,000 hearing aids annually to adults and children, and Depp’s funding is a big reason why.
"As a member of the Clinton Global Initiative. We have pledged to fit more than 1 million hearing aids to people in need this decade," the nonprofit's website states. Props to Johnny for lending their support to such a great cause! This video soon made its way to social media, where people absolutely lost their minds over it.
One such Twitter user wrote: “#JohnnyDepp installing hearing aids on this girl's ears that allowed her to hear for the first time ... just a blessing.”
“What a wonderful thing - hearing his voice so close to your ear for the first time,” added another.
