How Meta is expanding the availability of Facebook Reels for iOS and Android to more than 20 countries in sub-Saharan Africa?

Meta: The reaction to Facebook's new logo and brand identity — QuartzToday, Meta expands the Facebook Reels availability for iOS and Android in more than 20 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Meta also provides better ways to help creators make money, providing new creative tools and more space to view and create Facebook reels.

 

Prior to this launch, the reel was available on Facebook in India, Mexico, Canada, US and is now available in Sub-Saharan Africa: Zimbabwe, Zambia, Uganda, Tanzania, Swaziland, South Africa, Seychelles, Senegal, Rwanda, Nigeria, Namibia,  Mali,  Lesotho,   Kenya,  Guinea,   Ghana, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Burkina Faso and more.

Commenting on the launch of Sub-Saharan Africa Director Ntsingila at Meta, he said, 'We have seen videos spending almost all time on Facebook and Instagram and Reel is our fastest growing content channel. That’s why we focus on making the reel the best way to find creators, connect with our audience and make money. We make it fun and easy for people to find and share the important and exciting content they want.' 

 

The Reels Play, which is part of the $1 billion Meta creators', pays eligible creators up to $35,000 a month based on their nice looks. In the coming months, the bonus program will be extended to more countries, and many creators will be rewarded for creating popular reels in their communities.

 

As a part of the launch, Meta also introduces product interaction controls, which include publisher lists, block lists, inventory filters and distribution reports on Facebook posts in each region of ad ads and stickers, providing advertisers with more information on how to use them. Give control over how their ads appear in all areas. They do not feel qualified for their brand or campaign. In addition, Meta has been exploring full-featured and interactive screen ads between Facebook reels since October last year and will be releasing it to many locations around the world in the coming months. In addition to live content on Facebook, people can comment, like, view, save, share and travel.

 

Other editing features

In addition to the features announced last year, manufacturers around the world can access:

Remix: Create your own reel with existing, publicly or your friends to shared reels on Facebook. When you create a remix, you can create a ring that contains all or part of the Creator's ring.

60-second reel: Create 60-second reels.

Drafts: You can create a ladder soon and select "Save Draft As" under the Save button. If this draft video so you can edit your video. 

Video Clip: In the coming months, we plan to create  a video clipping tool that will make it easier for creators who publish live videos or longer formats, to explore the different formats we make.

Create and find reels in new locations

 

In the coming weeks, the following updates will be released to make it easier to create and find reels in new locations:

 

Reel in Stories:You can share public reels for articles on Facebook, making it easy to share favorite reels with friends and giving creators more visibility and reach. You can also create reels from existing public articles.

Reel in the watch: You can see the reels directly in the watch  tab, and  we are developing tools to help you reel in the watch tab as well.

Feed Top: We are adding a new reel label at the top of the feed, so you can easily create and view reels with a few clicks.

Recommended reels in the feed: In selected countries, we have started recommending reels that you like in your feed from people you have not already followed.
