Ministry of Privatization has received declaration of conformity from eight entities for privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). These companies include Fly Jinnah, Air Blue Limited, Habib Corporation, Sardar Ashraf D. Baloch, Shanxi CIG Limited (China), Gerry's International Private Limited, a subsidiary of Younas Brothers Holdings (Private), Pak Ethanol-led case and E taking. -A consortium led by Blue Sejijie City. The Ministry of Privatization has extended the deadline for submission of privatization services to PIA and received expressions of interest (EOI) from these eight major business groups. The Privatization Commission (PC) will conduct the necessary pre-qualification process in accordance with the rules and regulations of the PC Rules, 2000. The subject is Rs² per annum. The airline lost R8,600 billion last year and is predicted to be as high as Rs15,300 billion this year, necessitating privatization or closure of the airline. The government is considering selling at least 51% of PIA's shares and management, preferably to local investors. A Pakistani airline has expressed interest in acquiring PIA and is in talks with the private sector. The meeting is on Friday at 16:00.
