Parveen is best known for singing in a sympathetic, loud voice, especially in the song Yaar ko Humne from the album Raqs-e-Bismil and Tere Ishq Nachaya, a collection of poems by Bulleh Shah.He was awarded the second largest Pakistani award Nishan-e-Imtiaz in 2012 and the highest citizenship award Hilal-e-Imtiaz in March 2021 by the President of Pakistan.
Parveen was born in Ali Goharabad in Larkana, Sindh, Pakistan. He first received his music training from his father, Ustad Ghulam Haider, whom he called Baba Sain and Gawwaya. He had his own music school where Parveen found inspiration to dedicate to him. He and his father often sang in the shrines of the Sufi Saints. Parveen's ability compelled his father to choose him as his music heir over his two sons. Growing up, he attended his father's music school, where his foundation was laid in music.Ustad Salamat Ali Khan of Sham Chaurasia later became his mentor and raised him. Parveen always remembers that he was never forced to do this work and sang his first complete kalam at just 3 years old.
Parveen had started singing in Dargahs and Urs in the early 1970s, but it was in 1973, on Radio Pakistan, that he won his first success with the Sindhi song Tuhinje zulfan jay band kamand widha. In 1977 he was introduced as an official artist on Radio Pakistan. Since then, Parveen has become famous and is now regarded as one of Pakistan's top singing artists. He has filled Sufi music with a new identity, marking the beginning of this pilgrimage to Sultana Siddiqui's Awaz-o-Andaz in 1980.
Parveen travels internationally, often singing in commercial venues. His work in 1988 in Chicago was recorded by the Hazrat Amir Khusrau Society of Art and Culture, which released an LP for his songs. His performance in 1989 at the Wembley Conference Center in London was broadcast on the BBC. Parveen cites his motives for international travel such as spreading Sufism, peace and the sacred message. In doing so, he also promotes Pakistani culture.
In the 1990s Parveen granted his spiritual license to Bollywood, as his "spiritual brother", Khan, recorded Bollywood songs. Abida recently sang at the big Sindh Festival finals organized by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Thatta.
Abida had a special look at Lollywood's hit movie "Zindagi" starring Sultan Rahi, Arif Lohar, Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi starring in his famous Sufi Sachal Sarmast 'mahi yar di gharoli bhar di '.
In 2007, Parveen collaborated with Shehzad Roy on a song entitled Zindagi, dedicated to children's social problems.
That same year he sang at the annual Oslo mela festival in Norway.
In 2010, Parveen sang at the prestigious London Albert Hall in London, along with Bollywood actress Sonu Nigam.

In 2016, he collaborated with Indian Music director Salim-Sulaiman and the Orchestra in Toronto (Canada) on a special song called "Noor e Illahi" released on Eid.
In 2017, on New Year's Day Abida released 'Mulk e Khuda' a patriotic song featuring the natural landscapes and landscapes of Pakistan.
He has sung at the finals of the Alchemy Festival, 2017 at the Southbank Center, London.

Abida Parveen (Sindhi: عابده پروين; born 20 February 1954) is a Pakistani singer, composer and Sufi musician. He is also an artist and a businessman. Parveen is one of the highest paid artists in Pakistan.Her singing and music have greatly benefited her, and she has been named the 'Queen of Sufi music'.

arveen started singing in Pakistan's internationally acclaimed Coke Studio program in 2010. He sang three songs: "Ramooz-e-Ishq", "Nigah-e-Darwaishaan", and "Soz-e-Ishq" in episodes 1 (Reason), 3 (Conception), and 5 (Realization), respectively season 3. Parveen said he was impressed with the program because it provided a place in Dargahi. Comments:

He was also invited to season 7 in 2014. He sang "Mein Sufi Hoon" with President Khan and performed "dost" solo. He also sang "Chaap Tilak" (the famous Sufi poem by Sufi poet Amir Khusro) in a duet with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
Abida was also part of the 9th season. His first hit song, "Ae Rah Haq K Shaheedo" was given to the martyrs. [5] He then sang a duet with Ali Sethi entitled "Aaqa", and then solo with "Maula-i-Kull".
He also did well in season 14, singing "Tu Jhoom" with Naseebo Lal.
In 1975, Abida married Ghulam Hussain Sheikh, Radio Pakistan's executive producer, who retired from his work in the 1980s to manage and direct Parveen's work. After her death from a heart attack on an international plane in the early 2000's, their daughter Maryam took over the role. It is speculated that Parveen's work has taken a commercial route because of it.The couple has two daughters Pereha Ikram and Marium Hussain, and a son Sarang Latif who is a music director. All three children are her mentors.His family understands his need for riyaz (daily vocal music practice) and the necessary space for practicing it.
Abida obtained her royal degree from Sindh and learned Urdu, Sindhi and Persian directly.
Parveen is also passionate about the arts. She owns an Abida Parveen gallery that combines jewelry, paintings, her own music CDs, a portion of prizes and clothing and accessories and is owned by her daughters.He also has his own music recording studio there.

Although Parveen is a well-respected artist, he has never made a name for himself in films. His previously recorded songs have been used in films, however, with the emphasis on his fans and Farooq Mengal. Parveen seems to be on the verge of slowing down in conversations and television dramas because of his shy personality. Parveen admits that he continues to receive offers from Bollywood filmmakers Subhash Ghai and Yash Chopra but continues to reject it as he is immersed in Sufism and takes time to spread the Divine Message.He even received special offers from Shah Rukh Khan for Ra.One and music director A.R.Rehman has also given him some songs, too.
