How KL Rahul will open in World Cup?

Virat Kohli's maiden T20I hundred came at the top of the order in the recently-concluded Asia Cup, and reignited the debate on who should open for India at the upcoming T20 World Cup. India captain Rohit Sharma, speaking in the lead-up to the T20I series against Australia, said that the team had "third opener" and threw his weight behind KL Rahul in the opening slot will keep in mind that since we haven't taken a third opener, he can obviously open. He opens for his franchise and has done really well. It is a definite option for us, said Rohit. I have had a chat with Rahul that we will have to open within some matches because he is our third opener. We saw that in the last match, and we are quite happy with what we saw. I don't think we will experiment for that position a lot. "It's always nice to have options available to you," added Rohit. ". You want flexibility. We only talk about it, but this is actually what it means. You want your players to be in their best shape, batting in any position and so on. For us, when we try and do something new, it doesn't mean that is permanent. We understand the quality of all the players and what they bring to us. We do understand that an option for us the World Cup."KL Rahul, according to me, will play the World Cup, and open. His performances for India tend to go unnoticed. He is a very important player for India. If you look at his record over the last two-three years, it is very good. I don't think it is right to not consider one performance because someone else has performed people. There is no confusion. We are very clear about what KL brings to us. He is a very, very important and a quality player, and a match-winner as well. His presence at the top is very, very crucial for us." wise, a full-strength India squad for the T20I series against Australia, comes as a welcome change for the skipper, who wants the unit to play with a lot of "security" ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia next month. While India had to do without some of their key players in the Asia Cup, especially in the bowling department, Rohit spoke highly about the variety in the current line-up, pointing towards a good blend of pace and spin." always wanted to have variety in our attack. We never wanted to go into the World Cup with a one dimensional attack part of the World Cup team bring different things to us, and then we've got three quality spinners," said Rohit, adding that team, especially in always part of our plans. It was always going to do pretty much similar things available, there was no other option for us. We were who can do the batted brilliantly and won the game single-handedly with his batting. He is also a three-phase bowler bowl an over in the death as well, like the 17-18th over if you want to use that bigger boundary, you can do that stressed that India will continue their aggressive approach with the bat." will continue to play like that. That is something we spoke quite clearly right at the beginning. Everyone is quite comfortable with that. At the know what our second line of is. We spend a lot of time talking about these kinds of things. Guys are very clear how to bat at 10 for 3, and how to bat at 50 for no loss. All those things have been discussed a lot at length. Now it is all about going and executing it."
