In the life of this great nation, its few presidents are out of pocket as real history and more memorable than others. Yes, presidents from the founding generation deserve that bill, which includes George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. And presidents who serve the country in times of great hardship are also highly regarded for their memory. But in recent memory, almost no other president has expressed the same respect and admiration as John F. Kennedy. Kennedy appeared to capture the hearts of the American people in a way that was different from the presidency before or since. But this did not mean that Kennedy was not an amazing leader. He faced major challenges. The Cuban Missile Crisis is likely to be one of the most terrifying games between nuclear Russia and nuclear power America. When it became clear that Russia was starting to build bases in Cuba and equip it with such weapons, it was not time for a weak president. If Russia had managed to harass Kennedy or intimidate the young president and set those arrows on Cuba, it seems certain that the outcome of the Cold War would have been a failure rather than a success. But Kennedy was not harassed or intimidated and using force in his office, Kennedy stood up and stood in front of all the Americans and forced the Russians to remove those arrows. But this is not the only success of Kennedy's administration. It took a leader who had a great vision and the ability to inspire the nation as no one but John F. Kennedy could put the nation's vision by sitting on the moon. But Kennedy implanted that desire and that high calling in the hearts of his people and the nation gathered to finally see the man emerge from the moon and say, "This is one step in the right direction, the great leap of humanity." That was one of the proudest days in American history and it was Kennedy who inspired us in that kind of greatness. Just as the life and work of John F. Kennedy clearly demonstrated the hope and zeal of the younger generation, his tragic assignment changed the world forever. On that sad day of November 22, 1963, when Lee Harvey Oswald shot the beloved American president, the hearts of the American people changed forever. This was one of those days when almost everyone living at that time, from school children to grandparents, remembered where they were when they heard the news. Since we appointed this great leader, the presidency itself has never been the same. While the American people will always respect their presidents, that feeling of admiration for the man in the White House disappeared forever. But what did not fade was the continued praise of this man, John F. Kennedy, who encouraged generation and nation to look forward to the greatness and famous words of his 1961 opening speech… “Do not ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.
