Messi from D10S to M30
Barcelona's failures after their UCL success
As Xavi lofted the big-eared trophy into the crisp Berlin air, with Neymar and his '100% Jesus' headband front-and-center of all the photos, Barcelona had risen to the heights reached by few other clubs in the pantheon of greats.

The 2015 Champions League triumph completed their treble that season, proving the final chapter in an extraordinary period of European dominance. Yet, in the five years since that victory, Barcelona has endured many failures, greatly wounding this proud establishment.
Let's look at some of the crucial failures:
- Spanish super cup loss 14 august 2015. Their new season started with this loss against the athletic club.
- UCL lost against Athletico Madrid on 13 April 2016.
- Juventus defeated Barca after their famous Ramontada against PSG on 11 April 2017.
- Roma's own remontada against Barca 10 April 2018.
- Liverpool thrashed Barca on its home soil 4-0 on 7 May 2019.
- Copa del ray loss against Valencia on 25 May 2019.
- Bayern humiliated Barca on 15 Aug 2020 with 2-8 wins.
Neymar's departure to PSG
Neymar from the famous trio of MSN left Barcelona on 3 august 2017 when his legal representatives paid 222 million euros to the club, equal to his release clause. Even his transfer to Barca is controversial.
In January 2014, the prosecutor's office in Madrid began investigating Barcelona's transfer fee for Neymar. The documents submitted to the authorities on request contained contradictory information. On 23 January 2014, Rosell resigned from his position as president. A day later, the details of the transfer were revealed by Barcelona; the transfer had, in fact, cost them €86.2 million (£71.5 million), with Neymar's parents confirmed to have received a €40 million sum. In the aftermath, Barcelona and Bartomeu were charged with tax fraud.
Neymar wanted, in a sense, to be a different club's Messi, feeling that such a dynamic would allow him a greater chance of claiming the Ballon d'Or. The new club was Paris Saint-Germain, a team that was apparently just one superstar away from ending their wait for a Champions League trophy.
The departure of legends Xavi and Iniesta
Xavi is considered one of the greatest midfielders of all time. He played in Barcelona almost his entire life before moving to Qatar. He played 767 matches for Barcelona, which was a club record at the time. Like Messi, Xavi is also a product of Barca youth system LAMASIA. Even though he started his career at Barca in 1999, his success came only during the pep Guardiola era, solely due to Messi's brilliance. Xavi knew how to use Messi upfront in which he assisted so many breathtaking Messi goals.

On June 6th, 2015, Xavi left Barca for Qatar, prompting the club to find a new midfielder. But thats the problem none of the new signings could satisfy Barca/Messi's needs. Arthur Melo was signed who played a somewhat similar style to Xavi, but he is not good strategically like Xavi.
Another legend who left Barca was Andres Iniesta, who, along with Xavi, helped Messi, Suarez, Neymar score so many goals. His brilliance on the pitch is unparallel; many fell in love with how he moves with the ball. But he felt he was too old to provide any good to the club and make way for other players; he left the club in 2018.
Financial mismanagement
But the biggest factor which motivates Messi to leave for PSG is the financial mismanagement by Bartomeu and his board. Signings like Dembele, Coutino, panic, prince, Vidal, Malcolm cost them 110% of their revenue, but the most bizarre thing is none of these players could do any single value during Liga and UCL fixtures.
Messi is clearly frustrated in all matches. Messi often had to drop deep down the pitch to collect the ball to start playmaking in which none of the above players were helpful. This led him to follow a similar type of attack in all matches, making it easier for opponents to deceive them. A good example is the Liverpool thrashing; they attacked from all sides in which no players other than Messi could counter them.
The departure of Suarez and Liga salary cap issue
But the real thing that made Messi furious is the axing of Suarez, his dear friend, on and off the pitch. The way Suarez was axed made Messi publicly criticize Bartomeu and his desire to leave the club in 2020. But Barcelona, with its contract power, made him play another season.
According to journalist Zach Lowy in his tweets, he made clear about Barca's financial problems.

But Messi was optimistic, and everything was going well. He came from his vacation to sign the contract. Still, the real problem started when texas refused to change the laliga rules, which made Messi sign his contract a big problem and registering new signings like delay, Aguero, Emerson. Messi had to bid goodbye to his beloved Barcelona the very next day. It all happened too fast that none of it makes sense.
Signing with PSG
Messi's Argentinien counterparts parades, Dimaria and Neymar, really convinced him to join PSG. Manchester City could have signed him if they weren't signed Grealish for 100m dollars. Well, Messi seemed happy about the reception he got. Let's hope he plays really well.
