Philosophy is considered a science, but it is hard to tell when it is to be compared with ordinary science, for example biology or chemistry. There are so many currents and disciplines, so many schools of philosophy, that it is difficult to decide which one you prefer and which one you agree with. It depends a lot on the country, family, society you live in. This is another difference between philosophy and other natural sciences. Law is stable for any country; gravity exists in India as it does in Brazil. Philosophy is a difficult science because it is very difficult to understand the meaning of a dogma who reads it only once. Of course, it is not easy, but you will be rewarded if you are interested and somewhere at a social event you quote one of the famous doctors of philosophy and make a great impression of an educated and intelligent personality.
