Prayer

   Father God, we thank you for giving us Saint Kyriakos Elias Chavara and Saint Eurasia Eluvatingal as role models to sing your glory and inspire your people. Help us to move forward day by day in faith, trust and love, inspired by the holy lives of St. Kyriakos and St. Eurasia. Oh God, bless us in such a way that by making ourselves pure, we can attract others towards that purity and sing your glory. We pray to you that we may dedicate our lives completely to your holy will. O God, intercessor of families through Saint Kyriakos Elias Chavara and Saint Evuprasiya Eluvathingal, hear our prayers and intercede in our most critical situations of life and especially in this need, amen. 

The conspiracy to crucify Jesus on Good Friday was hatched in Jerusalem itself. It is said that Jesus' disciple Judas betrayed him and the Jews hanged Jesus on the cross. That's why this day is also celebrated as the sacrifice day of Jesus.

   Good Friday is a festival of mourning for the people of Christianity. That's why people go to church on this day. Don't even ring the bell.

   Christians fast for 40 days before Good Friday. It is believed that even Jesus had observed a fast of 40 days before starting human service.

  On Good Friday, people gather in the church and then there is a prayer meeting. Bible, Miss, discourse etc. Are organized on Good Friday.
