Is society neglecting domestic violence that is aimed towards men?
Men are, by definition, stronger, more aggressive, and more dominating than women. As a result, it's difficult to believe that even these pillars of our society may be mistreated. When it comes to law and order, though, there are no shortages of weird anecdotes. Domestic violence and assault may appear to most people to be more widespread in developing countries. Even in the major cities, though, the situation is not much better.
Although it is taboo to discuss violence against males, research show that one out of every six men is mistreated by their female companions. One in every four women is a woman, according to the data. Men find it quite difficult to confess when a female is abusing them. When they do confess it, though, they are dismissed. Male victims receive minimal public assistance or support. However, the consequences for a male victim are equally severe as they are for a female victim. The key distinction appears to be that women are more likely than males to be murdered by an abusive relationship. Perhaps if more women murdered their boyfriends, more people would realize that assault is not limited to one gender.
