Pant posted a picture of Rabat and Nisha Kumar by his hospital bed and stated in his first public remarks since the accident that he would be "forever grateful and appreciative" to them.
Pant posted on Twitter late Monday, "I may not have been able to thank everyone individually, but I must mention these two heroes who helped me during my accident and made sure I got to the hospital safely.
"Nisha Kumar and Rabat Kumar, I'm grateful. I'll always be appreciative and owe you money."
On December 30, just before daybreak, the flashy wicket-keeper batter lost control of his Mercedes SUV north of New Delhi.
He was hurt severely when the car crashed into a crash barrier, overturned, and caught fire.
The 25-year-old was evacuated to Mumbai for additional care after being brought to a neighborhood hospital in Dehradun.
The Indian Cricket Board reported that Pant was hurt multiple times, including his right knee, which had a torn ligament, as well as his wrist, ankle, and back.
Pant tweeted on Monday that the "road to recovery" had started for him and that his knee procedure, according to reports, "was a success."

The Indian Premier League, which will begin in late March or early April, will be without Pant, the captain of the Delhi Capitals team.

He expressed excitement for meeting everyone on the cricket pitch as he concluded his tweet.
