Israel is our most trusted partner
Dr. S. Jaishankar will meet with PM Bennett. Both countries are holding a meeting in Jerusalem. At
that time, our foreign minister said, "Israel is our most trusted partner." This statement carries weight
because of our many defense treaties with the USA, Russia, and France. But we do not say any other
name; we say Israel. We purchased advanced drones in huge quantities. India and Israel face similar
challenges, such as radicalism and terrorism.
Trading
Recently, India overtook the USA to become the second most sought-after manufacturing destination.
Cushman & Wakefield, a huge and popular company in the USA, published a report titled "Global
Manufacturing Risk Index 2021." In this report, they state that India beats the USA as the most
attractive manufacturing hub globally. India makes and Quad offers a focus on trading. Nearly $4.59
billion in trade between India and Israel. India and UAE trade over $59 billion, and you already know
that the USA replaced China as India's biggest trading partner. And always remember, in geopolitics,
all countries only see their profit.
Benefits for India
When the new Quad is established properly, it will be more beneficial for India. Strengthening
relations with other countries primarily strengthen trade and investment. Recently, the UAE decided to
build infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir. This is a good step because it opens up investment
opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir for other countries. In the next few years, we may see other
countries like the United States of America, Japan, and France investing in Jammu and Kashmir. We
can establish proper trade routes, such as from India to UAE, UAE to Iraq, and then to Israel. We
won't stop there; if we engage in large-scale trade with Israel, we can gain easy access to European
countries.
