How important is education in 2022?

With the aid of technology, the education sector sprang up and met the requirements of the kids. Due to the lack of basic infrastructure amenities for electricity and internet availability in 2021, many schools were unable to reach the most rural areas of India. It made us consider how to shorten the future so that no youngster is left behind.

In order for education to continue to be fundamental but also more employable, the year 2022 needs to physically and conceptually reach the households of India's most rural areas.

Children are only required to study numbers and facts these days. We must put more of an emphasis on making education more employable in order to prepare students for the future. First, we must improve the infrastructure and technology integration throughout the entire nation.

Additionally, as envisioned in the National Education Policy 2020, skill-based education will help the children become self-sufficient.

1. The development of skills:

The Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), which was established six years after a distinct ministry for skilling, is still dispersed and shattered. Without any coordination between them, it is being overseen by 17 different ministries in their individual jurisdictions. The "Skill India" mission is currently moving forward at full speed.

In the upcoming years, India would need to find jobs for roughly 104.62 million newly arrived workers.

2. The metaverse, also known as "mirror world," "the spatial internet," or even "AR cloud," is the educational environment of the future. It combines virtual learning with enhanced physical reality. With the aid of metaverse, which incorporates the idea of Augmented and Virtual Reality, online learning will become more realistic (AR & VR).

A sizable virtual format that was virtually genuine in 2021 included platforms for holding school functions. The appearance of the online classroom will be more realistic than ever with the arrival of metaverse events. It is possible to be online and offline at the same time, which can make learning seem strange.

3. The use of blockchain in data security education:

Although the use of blockchain in education is still in its infancy, adopting it as a tool for data security seems to be getting closer in the future. According to Gartner's 2019 poll, over 20% of higher education institutions will use blockchain within the next two years. It will simplify the laborious verification process by transferring records, employment records, and student IDs, making the procedure simpler and error-free.

To improve learning access for students worldwide, free digitalized teaching and learning resources, also known as open educational resources, are required. As Blockchain will play an important role in providing inclusiveness and equal quality education around the globe and encouraging lifelong learning opportunities across all age groups, this is in line with supporting the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 4.

Technology is now acknowledged as a component of inclusive education's strategic development goals. Blockchain enables the international standardization of high-quality educational content and the provision of information at a reasonable cost. It is clear that implementing cutting-edge technology like the blockchain can aid in the efficient planning of operations and resource usage in the educational sector.

4. Using IPR to protect innovations:

The Covid-19 outbreak showed the inadequacies in how different nations manage schooling. Global institutions that shifted to digitalizing education with online learning have started to look at their long-term plans.
