In this Article I explained How I Overcome my fear and How you can too...It's FEAR! We've all heard it, felt it, sensed it, experienced it, and dealt with it in some way. You're aware of the term "false evidence that appears to be true!!" The question is, how will you deal with it now and in the future?
To say the least, getting out of your comfort zone is difficult. My experience has shown me that the missing component is psychological. Too many times I've told myself, "I don't know how to accomplish this," and convinced my brain that I couldn't. What I've learned is that it's not so much the how that matters, but rather the why! Get a big enough WHY and the HOW will follow!
It's the old 80/20 rule at work here. Psychology accounts for 80% of the work, while mechanics accounts for 20%. We all have a tendency to obtain what we NEED. It all comes down to what YOU believe YOU MUST do and your determination to not accept anything less!! Making your shoulds into musts and opting to push through your fears.
Feel the fear and go for it! You must overcome your fear if you actually want to gain the upper hand. Fear of failure, embarrassment, or whatever fear you have, it's fine to make a mistake as long as you learn from it and avoid the same pitfalls next time.
Make the decision to live life on your own terms. The daily quality of your emotions determines the quality of your life. Take charge of your emotions and your destiny! Consider this: it's not how long I live, but how I live that matters! It's not about your ability to succeed; it's about why you must!
Two things to help you manage your emotions, deal with your body, and focus on what you're thinking about right now.
- Body, the physiology that we are in is what drives our psychology. When we change our MOTION, we also change our EMOTION, and as a result, we experience a change of condition. These are the moods (or emotions) that will determine how we react to a specific target.
- Focus, both what you focus on and how you focus, is critical to your success (or lack thereof). We must keep in mind that not only is what is wrong always available to us but so is what is right! Recognize that troubles are an inevitable part of life. Do you want to see someone who is free of problems? Visit your local cemetery; they're finished! There will be no more issues, and there will be no more life!! Direct your attention; anything you concentrate on draws you closer to that object or experience. There is no try, only do or don't!
I've noticed a few traits about myself that I can't help but think others must have seen in comparable situations or experiences. For me, the difference now is in how I choose to control or focus on myself in certain situations. This might be everything from going to a party and feeling my emotions to simply showering and getting ready for the day. My experience is truly defined by how I control my state during the situation!
To clarify, it's what I choose to concentrate on when showering or at a party. I despise the first day of each workweek if I'm thinking to myself, "Oh no, it's Monday again!" while showering. I despise Mondays!! I wish I could just sleep in and stay at home. Every day, I have to battle the dreadful traffic. I wish I had another car, one that was larger and more luxurious.
It goes on and on until you're in a nasty mood and ready to bite your partner's head off before you've even finished your morning shower! You're agitated and anxious about heading to work before you've even put on your clothes.
It all starts with your THOUGHTS, which I recommend and submit to you. These thoughts begin to influence our emotions (or moods), and once we LEARN to control them, we get a far more powerful position from which to direct our actions.
To manage your results, use MOTION to generate EMOTION. Return to the shower scenario and sing, shout, clap your hands, pretend the soap bottle (or bar) is your microphone, move quickly, breathe deeply, and think positive thoughts. (Remember, you have the power to select what you think about)! Wouldn't it be better to get dressed and feel good about the day ahead of you, rather than dreading the next moment? Sure, and you get to choose your own experience.
It may take some practice or conditioning on your behalf, but if you focus on training your brain and body to do so, it will become second nature.
You can master your fear and utilize it to motivate you toward your objectives. It is the courage that comes from facing our fears that strengthens our faith. When you force yourself to perform tough tasks, you gain self-esteem. As a result, our comfort zones are widened and our trust is strengthened.
Is it possible to see faith? We can see the proof of faith, I suggest to you. No one has ever seen the wind, but its evidence may be found everywhere. Faith unused wanes!
