Amazon affiliate program allows bloggers to link their website with the Amazon website, whenever people click on those links and buy something from the Amazon website, the blogger earns money from that click. So I thought of giving it a try and here’s how I became an Amazon affiliate and started earning money.
What Is An Amazon Affiliate?
Amazon is one of my favorite affiliate sites. When you sign up for their affiliate program, they give you a unique code (called a link code) that allows you to get a commission every time someone buys something through your link. The great thing about Amazon is that when people buy things on Amazon, they don’t only look at what’s available online.
Setting Up Shop
Before you can earn your first dollar, you’ll need to set up your affiliate site. In order to do that, you’ll need to follow some basic steps . The first thing you’ll want to do is register for a free account with Amazon Associates . This will give you access to all of their tools and training materials. Once you have your account set up, it’s time to get familiar with how things work on their end. You should start by checking out their Getting Started page . It covers everything from how they pay affiliates, what types of content are allowed on pages (and what types aren’t), etc.
Ranking For The Keywords
The two most important aspects of keyword research are looking at search volume and relevance to your business. How much someone is willing to pay for something is a strong indicator of its value. You should ideally aim to target keywords that get at least 1,000 searches per month, but have low competition—that means fewer than 3 websites competing for them.
Pricing Products
One of your first tasks is to figure out how much you should charge for your product or service. Pricing something incorrectly is one of my biggest pet peeves in life, but if you charge too little people assume your product/service isn’t as good as someone who charges more. On the other hand, if you price something too high no one will buy it. These are all facts that have been proven time and time again by virtually every business on Earth.
Start Marketing Yourself
It’s no longer enough to simply publish a book if you want to make some serious bank. Authors have to market themselves. If your previous career is anything like mine, then you’re probably pretty good at marketing yourself—but even if it isn’t, that can be learned over time. The most important thing is that you start thinking of yourself as a brand. To do so, read up on branding strategies and pick up any books that sound interesting.
Long Term Strategies
Building your passive income is a long term strategy, but it doesn’t mean you can’t start early. The earlier you begin, the easier it will be to achieve financial independence faster. To create passive income, you have to identify a specific niche with a reliable stream of targeted traffic. There are millions of people who do what they love on their blogs or websites each day because they want to share their knowledge or sell their products.
Tips And Tricks To Keep Up The Cash Flow
There are plenty of ways to get free and/or cheap stuff. Ask friends, family, neighbors if they have anything in their house that you can use for free (or very little cost). Buy things that are on sale at local grocery stores, discount stores or thrift shops. Second-hand is great! Just make sure you don’t buy anything broken (unless you’re handy with repairs) or unhealthy.
