Almost everyone has heard the hit single "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin. The song has a very catchy way of conveying its message of happiness to all. Bobby Mcferrin's simple message certainly woke up many people by telling them not to worry.
Living a happy, resilient and optimistic life is amazing and it's also good for your health. Being happy actually protects you from the stresses of life. Stress is linked to leading causes of death such as heart disease, cancer and stroke.
One of the best things ever said is – 'The only thing in life that always stays the same is change' and we have the power to make the necessary changes in our life if we want to. Even when we find ourselves in an unbearable situation, we can always find comfort in knowing that this too will change.
Social networks or relationships are essential for happiness. People are different, accept people as they are or what they are, avoid clashes, constant arguments and let go of all kinds of resentment. If arguments seem inevitable, try to make an effort to understand the situation so that you can get along well.
Happiness is truly found in everyone, increasing it is the way to make life more beautiful and also healthier.
Being happy is quite easy, you just have to decide to be a happy person. Abraham Lincoln noted that most people can choose how happy or stressed, how relaxed or distressed, how bright or dull their gaze will be most of the time. The choice is really simple, choose to be happy.
You can do this in several ways.
Being grateful is a great attitude. We have a lot to be thankful for. Thank the taxi driver for getting you home safely, thank the chef for a great dinner, and thank the guy who washes your windows. Also, thank the postman for bringing you your emails, thank the policeman for keeping your place safe, and thank God you're alive.
The news is stressful. Get less of it. Some people just can't start their day without a daily dose of news. Think about it, 99% of the news we hear or read is bad news. It doesn't seem wise to start the day with bad news.
A religious affiliation is also recommended. Being part of a religious group with its singing, sacraments, singing, prayers and meditations promotes inner peace.
Manage your time. Time is priceless and too important to waste. Time management can be thought of as a list of rules that includes planning, goal setting, scheduling, to-do lists, and prioritization. These are the basic fundamentals of time management that should be understood to develop effective personal time management skills. These core skills can be fine-tuned further to include the finer points of each skill that can give you the extra margin to get the results you want.
Laugh and laugh heartily every day. Have you heard a good joke? Tell your friends or family about it. As they also say – 'Laughter is the best medicine'.
Express your feelings, affection, friendship and passion to the people around you. They will most likely reciprocate your actions. Try not to hold back anger out of frustration, it's bad for your health. Instead, find ways to express them in a way that doesn't cause anyone more hurt or injury.
Hard work brings enormous personal satisfaction. It gives a sense of competence in carrying out our tasks. Achievements are necessary for all of us, they give us a sense of worth. Work on the things you think deserve your time.
Learning is a joyful exercise. Try to learn something new every day. Learning also allows us to broaden and widen our horizons. And it could also give us more opportunities in the future.
Run, run, walk, and do other things your body was made to do. To feel alive.
Avoid exposure to negative elements such as loud noises, toxins and dangerous places.
And always remember the quote from Abraham Lincoln that says, “Most people are about as happy as they choose to be.
