How Getting To The Top By Fits And Starts

How Getting To The Top By Fits And Starts :

I would try to believe that most people have qualities that make them successful. Then why are more of them not successful? There is an observation; By not following through on the actions with which they started. They have victory in their sights and do you want to know what they do?

Settle for moderation!

Have you ever known someone who was full of immediate action with no ultimate goal? Their body is in motion, their hands are busy, but their destination is not clear! Even when their actions seem right, they show that they are not fully aware of where they are going.

Because they're not really sure where they're going, they settle for less than what they started with. Here's an example: You decide you need to take control of some part of your life. Maybe you decide you need to stop worrying. And, that's a good thing. This is a very worthy goal to pursue.

So, you start reading good motivational books, you listen to good motivational tapes and you stay busy because you can get that anxiety problem under your feet. But, whenever you are doing this, there is a nagging thought in your mind that says; "What if it doesn't work this time?"

A rotten apple will spoil the barrel!

In effect, what are you doing; Eliminating worry on the one hand and creating fear on the other. What if someone asks you how you are coming up with a solution to the problem? You say, "Yeah, it's going great!" And then you say, but, you know I heard they're going to lay off a lot of people at the plant and I'm afraid I'm going to lose my job.

what have you done You show the door "disturbed," and invite fear to play with you. And, believe me; Fear will cause as much destruction as anxiety. They both come from the bottomless pit, and have no business in our thoughts.

Listen, even if they're going to drop a bunch of people in your plant, you can't do anything by being afraid or worried about it. If it does, deal with it. Not yet!!

And, don't tell yourself that you can't stop worrying because it's so serious and could destroy your livelihood. !

For crying out loud!

If you believe this, you are saying that nothing bad ever happened to you unless you gave it a good dose of anxiety before it happened.

Let me tell you now; I've had a lot of unpleasant misfortunes happen to me, completely out of the blue, and I've never spent ten seconds worrying about them before. I didn't even know about them. The point is: if adversity is going to happen anyway, we need to know how to deal with it. And, worry and fear is not the way to do it.

Every dog has a day!

You have never decided anything in your life by worrying about it. If it gets better, it's not because you were worried about it. It's more likely because you didn't settle for mediocrity and insist on total victory. And, sometimes good things just happen. Hallelujah!

Now you can understand why some people's actions sometimes seem misdirected. They put all their efforts into removing one obstacle while erecting another. They are like the proverb "The unstoppable beats the unstoppable." And, then on the way to success, they stop short somewhere and solve whatever happens at that moment.

Most of the time, you can be relatively sure, it was some emotion that cut them short. It was a passion that started them and it will be a passion that stops them. Emotions are a funny thing: they can fuel us with enough fire to leap tall buildings, and at the same time, make us feel like pigs don't fly.

A great kettle of fish!

What a revolutionary development. What do we believe? what shall we do? It's no wonder some people seem disoriented in pursuing their goals. No wonder some people settle for mediocrity in the middle just to satisfy and shut down these conflicting emotions. And, it's a great way to brag about success because we haven't seen what will happen in the end.

I am thinking of many times in my life as a young man that I stopped midstream to take what I had and stop the feelings that kept saying; "If you keep going, you might not get it. Better take what you've got now." You know that ole saying, "Bird in hand?"

I didn't want to hear that bird in the handcreep. My head said that for me many times I was beginning to feel as lucky as a single man in a women's prison with a fist full of forgiveness. Talk about directionlessness; And settle for mediocrity.

Ahh! This is where the friction is!

The problem is: one can get into the habit of "settling down," and then that's the real source of a directionless and out-of-control life. As long as we live in this world, we will have opportunities to "solve" something trivial.

The more we "settle" it becomes a habit and the more we begin to consciously expect a "settling point". We don't think about it and we certainly don't start out with the intention of finding a place to settle. But, when it appears, and the "bird in the hand" voices begin their song and tap dance on our foreheads, we say, I know when to catch them, and I know when to catch them. have to connect, and it's time to connect them. .

The point is: connecting them isn't a bad thing if you can get ahead in the game. But, if it becomes an ingrained habit, the folding point will begin to appear earlier and earlier until you find yourself folding right after the start.

Get under it!

How do you know when to fold? This is not rocket science. This is really very easy. Ask yourself some important questions. Can I go ahead? Has this item given me anything of value? And most importantly; Has something else presented itself in my life that I could replace it with?

For me, if any one of these three questions is a "no", I'm not ready to connect them; Especially the last one.

Would you like to know why we reduce something? It's not really hard to understand but it can be hard to accept. So pay attention, and at least give it some serious thought. Don't let its simplicity put you off. The reason is, we don't know "how" to fix it.

If we knew how, we would keep going. If we knew what to do, there would be no need to do it. If we knew what was going to happen in every situation, we wouldn't worry! We will never worry. think about it. Lack of knowledge.
