Would you blow your entire periodic marketing budget on just one announcement to run formerly during the Superbowl?
Of course, you wouldn’t. You know that people seeing your communication just formerly wouldn’t be enough.
Also, why do we tend to spend our moment and bones on single-shot marketing, rather than repeated dispatches?
.
The answer is … utmost folks just don’t know any better. Or, maybe it seems boring to repeat your communication over and over and over and over.
But the verity is, your fortune is in the follow-up!
.
This once weekend I went to hear direct marketing master Bill Glazer (my marketing tutor who runs Glazer-Kennedy Inner Circle (with Dan Kennedy) speak at a conference then in Los Angeles. During his talk, he participated with the followership how he spent the last many decades of his life running Baltimore’s# 1 retail men’s apparel store, Gage Menswear, along with his late father.
Bill talked about one of his first direct correspondence juggernauts, and how during the planning stages he blazoned to his pater that they were going to post a special promotional offer to the same list not formerly, not doubly, but three times. His father was floored and yelled at Bill that he was crazy and was wasting their plutocrat!
Bill persisted and posted all three pieces of the crusade. Well, their results revealed that posting the same offer three times not only increased their response but also DOUBLED their response! Pop was floored, and he sure was pleased with the flurry of deals that came in. From that point on he also trusted Bill with their marketing bones.
Why does repeating your communication work? online newsletters writing
It’s simple … people are submersed with dispatches every day. The last statistic I heard was each of us sees over distinct dispatches a day! That means you need to repeat yourself over and over if you’re going to break through the clutter, actually get their attention, get them to read or hear AND get them to respond.
Your assignment is to now look at all areas of your marketing and advertising in your business, and see where you need to add some follow up.
Some quick places to look at
Your Ezines – Are you publishing your ezine enough? Once a month just doesn’t cut it presently. You should be reaching out and “ touching” your prospects and guests at least formerly a week, if not more. However, my ezine system takes care of that for you!)
, (If you’re running out of ideas or you’re not sure how to do this without chivying folks.
Teleseminars and Live Events – When promoting events, you’re going to need numerous further than one or two adverts or mailings. As a general rule, when I’m trying to fill up a teleseminar (phone forum) I transferred out at least three emails devoted to the creation. For live events, you need dozens of dispatches, and well ahead of time. Utmost of the coaches I know start selling no lower than six months ahead of any live event they’re hosting!
One-on-One Marketing – If you cold call or correspondence out letters to prospects, how numerous times are you following up? Don’t be hysterical to call or post again. I have eventually responded to an offer after I've been communicated several times, and was glad the seller took the action to follow up.
Advertising – Rather of blowing your budget on any large advertisements per time, try running a lower announcement much more frequently! Also, most publications, both online and offline, will generally give you big abatements for copping further than one announcement at a time. (I do this with advertisements in my ezine, Straight Shooter Marketing.)
Remember, numerous marketing experts who test all these strategies say that reiteration is the key. So don’t indeed feel you have to be creative with your marketing – just saying or posting the same thing over and over is better than not saying it or posting it
