How foods rich in iron are good enough for skin care?

From our hair to our nails, eating a good amount of iron has many benefits. If we eat such nutritious foods daily, especially those rich in iron, our skin will be protected. Let's see which are the foods that contain iron.   

1. Raisins 

Some people eat raisins as part of their diet. Some people have also seen raisins added to all desserts. These raisins are rich in iron. Hence, there are many benefits of eating it. Not only does it increase blood in the body, but potassium, vitamin B and iron also help in hair growth.  It is also excellent for skin care. It also helps to clear the skin in a good way and the truth is that it can also purify the blood. Leave some raisins to soak overnight. It is best to take it the next day.   

Just like the popular saying goes, “don’t judge a book by its cover,” raisins should not be judged by their shriveled, aged, and dry appearance. These golden (also come in black-ish and green hues) hued dried fruits popularly known as “Kishmish”, are nutrient-filled powerhouses.

They are a rich source of fiber, iron, calcium, potassium, and other essential nutrients, that provide you with an energy boost and help you keep your hair and skin glowing. Besides, they make for a quick and simple snack, that can be consumed at any part of the day.

Although we widely see them only in sweet dishes like ‘payasam’ or ‘barfis’, adding them as toppings to your yogurt, cereal, granola, baked goods or trail mixes will not only enhance the taste of your dish but also help you get the nutrients your body deserves.  

2. Oyster 

Oyster is one of the most beneficial for health as well as skin care. Since it contains a lot of iron, eating it helps in removing dead skin cells and makes the skin fair and even.  Oysters are a rich source of vitamin D, copper, zinc, and manganese. These micronutrients, in combination with calcium, are thought to be key to slowing or even preventing bone loss in older women due to osteoporosis. Additionally, dietary sources of these minerals are thought to be more effective than supplements.

3. Leafy green vegetables 

It is good to add good spinach and moringa leaves to the food. Spinach toran, or spinach, as well as moringa toran are all good. All of these contain a lot of iron, which helps the hair to stay healthy and grow strong. It also helps in making the skin soft and fair. 

4. Cashew 

It is very good to include three cashews in your diet daily. It is also good to eat in the morning. It also contains iron. Therefore, it is good for blood circulation in the body, skin and hair protection. It is also good for overall health. 

5. Sardines 

Sardines are equally good for hair and health as well as skin. Most of the fishers love sardines. If sardine is included in the diet, it helps to keep the skin clear and healthy.  

6. Baked Potato  

We used to give baked potatoes to small children. Similarly, it is baked or boiled to prepare smashed potatoes. Potatoes are best eaten well baked. Since it contains a lot of iron, it is possible to protect the health of the skin by eating it. 

7. Liver 

Liver of chicken, as well as goat and cattle is good to eat when curry or fried. As it contains a lot of iron, it is good for increasing blood in the body as well as eliminating skin problems. It helps in keeping the skin even-toned as well as removing impurities and making the skin clean.
