How Flood Swept Away Their Dreams

Climate change affects the entire global, initially no country was concerned and did not take it seriously, however Pakistan now faces a massive collapse as a result of climate change, and it will take a long time to recover. Flooding has had a devastating impact on Pakistan economy, with one-third of the country affected by flooding.

People are dying from hunger, no shelter available, and sleeping under the stars, looking to the outside world for assistance. Although the government is aware of climate change since March 2022, they have done nothing to prepare for this unexpected event, and as a result the entire country has suffered in August 2022. Every person has their own story, floods washed away their dreams and hopes, once they have family, but now they have only sorrow and an empty heart. They fought hard for their families, but the flood swept them away within a moment. People had hopes for a bright future, but a flood destroyed everything—their hopes, their families, everything.

Women require sanitary napkins for their natural menstrual cycle, but have no plans for a period circle. Pregnant women are suffering very badly because they need extra care and healthy diet, but due to flood that not possible. Pregnant women who survived are facing huge problems because there are no arrangements for their maternity, this moment is very critical babies who did not come into the world, yet their lives are in danger no medical facility available, shortage of medicine due to devastate, and very few medical camp facility available.

The care of expectant mothers and newborns is one important problem. Over 70,000 women are anticipated to give birth this month, out of the 32 million people who have been displaced by the floods. It is estimated that about 650,000 of these women are pregnant. Although this is a sizable amount, the health facilities in the areas affected by the flooding cannot perform as they should. We intend to provide kits for mothers and newborns that contain fresh delivery linens, blankets, cleaning supplies, and sunflower massage oil.

Because of poor government management very rare medical facility available, Children have sensitive skin, which makes it easier for microorganisms to attack them. Flood victims children are suffering from skin diseases, and the number of patients is rising quickly as a result of the floodwater accumulation and illness propagation. Their hopes were destroyed by the flood, but time does not stop for anyone, and if government does not act quickly, common people will suffer. If the government does nothing more, this catastrophe may happen again, and the entire nation would suffer. If government works on it, build dams and learn from this natural disaster, Pakistan can stand again. Although Zimbabwe have the world's largest dam, Pakistan should learn from Zimbabwe. If other countries do not work to combat climate change, they will be the next victims, suffering even more than Pakistan. It is an alarming situation other countries should learn from this devastating.
