Spectacular Fireworks and Celebrations Light Up the UAE for New Year's 2025
Fireworks demonstrations will take place at 36 locations in Dubai, while Abu Dhabi is set to break records with a spectacular fireworks show.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has become the global center of attention for New Year celebrations. According to the official WAM news agency, millions of people worldwide will focus on the UAE's extravagant celebrations and events, particularly the breathtaking fireworks displays across the country’s emirates. These events are not just a magnet for international tourists but also captivate hundreds of thousands of local citizens and residents, showcasing the nation’s commitment to advancing its entertainment industry.
Abu Dhabi: Record-Breaking Celebrations
The Supreme Organizing Committee of Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Festival has announced a stunning program at Al Wathbah, featuring a record-setting 53-minute fireworks display. This grand spectacle will be unmatched in terms of its length, diversity, and scale. Before the fireworks, 6,000 drones will illuminate the sky in a 20-minute show at 11:40 p.m., featuring a unique map of the world created by 3,000 drones and other symbolic New Year displays.
Additional fireworks displays will also take place at iconic locations across Abu Dhabi, including the Corniche, Yas Island, Al Hudayrat Island, and more.
Dubai: Fireworks Across 36 Locations
Dubai will host more than 45 fireworks shows at 36 strategic locations on New Year's Eve 2025. Key attractions include Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, Expo City, Global Village, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai Design District, Bluewaters Island, Al Seef, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Parks and Resorts, Hatta, and J One La Mer Beach. Authorities have ensured high security measures to provide a safe and memorable experience for residents and tourists alike.
Sharjah: A Unique Celebration
Sharjah will welcome 2025 with a distinctive event organized by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq). This includes a 25-minute fireworks display across three locations: Al Majaz Waterfront (5 minutes), Al Heira Beach (10 minutes), and Khorfakkan Beach (10 minutes). Each location will offer unique activities designed for people of all ages.
Ras Al Khaimah: A Dazzling Sky Show
Ras Al Khaimah is preparing for a spectacular 15-minute fireworks and laser show titled "Our Story in the Sky." Inspired by the emirate’s natural beauty, heritage, and culture, the show will conclude at midnight with a breathtaking display of drones and fireworks. Last year, Ras Al Khaimah achieved two Guinness World Records during its New Year celebrations, including the "Longest Floating Fireworks Display" and the "Longest Straight Line Drone Show." More records are expected to be set during this year's event.
