iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max (2019)
Apple launched the iPhone 11 series in 2019 with three models, following the trend of revealing multiple models: the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Genius, and the iPhone 11 Expert Max. Apple gave a model the name "Pro" for the first time, referring to its most advanced performance-enhancing features.
The iPhone 11 was essentially the X R successor, sporting a dual-camera setup, and all three models were equipped with Apple's most recent A13 Bionic chipset. It had the same 6.1-inch LCD screen, an aluminum frame around it, and a variety of colorful finishes. The double camera highlighted a 12 MP essential sensor with optical picture adjustment and, interestingly, a 12 MP super wide sensor for a more extensive field of view. Apple noted that the introduction of Night Mode in iOS 13 significantly enhanced low-light photography.
On the other hand, the pro models had a new back made of frosted glass and a stainless steel frame. They also had a triple camera setup on the back for the first time in iPhone history. A 12MP telephoto lens joined the non-professional model's ultra-wide and wide-angle lenses. There was a Super Retina XDR display in both models, but they were different sizes. The OLED display on the 11 Pro was 5-8 inches, while the display on the Pro Max was 6-5 inc. The latest iOS 13 and the A13 Bionic chip significantly enhanced the phone's performance and battery life. According to Apple's release, Pro models were available in four finishes and a new "Midnight Green" edition.
On September 20, 2019, the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max were all released. The iPhone 11 started at $699, while the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max started at $999 and $1099, respectively
iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max (2022)
On September 16, 2022, the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max were all made available for purchase; on October 8, 2022, the iPhone 14 Plus was made available for purchase. As a result, the "Mini" iPhone was dropped out of the picture, and the cheapest iPhone, the iPhone 14, cost $799 to start (a little more than the iPhone 13 Mini's $729 starting price).
The price of the iPhone 14 Plus was announced to be $899, while the price of the iPhone 14 Pro was $999 and the price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max was $1099. Our iPhone 14 Plus "first look" feature shows that the screen size of the iPhone 14 Plus is the same as that of its Pro Max counterpart, which is 6-7 inches. The Plus has a notch, while the Pro has an island, so the difference is in the notch.
The front-facing camera and sensor array on the iPhone 14 Pro family are now handled in a new way. Pro chooses a pill-shaped punch hole over the notch. For the majority of smartphones, this is a necessary compromise in order to maintain a front-facing camera while simultaneously providing a front display with nearly full coverage. With what they call their Dynamic Island, Apple turned it into a positive feature, and it's pretty appealing
