How does the Tele-ICU help in Obstetric emergencies?

According to the latest report of National Sample Registry (SRS) data, the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) of India for the period 2016-18 is 113/100,000 live births, 17 percentage points decrease from 130/100,000 live births in 2014. -16.

The Government of India is focusing on initiatives to improve maternal health indicators. Only when intensive care expertise is available in rural areas of the country can the country come very close to or even reach the Millennium Development Goal 5 indicator, which envisions 75% reductions in maternal mortality.

However, the pace of development needs to be accelerated further with the well-established Tele-ICU system to reach the Millennium Development Goal 5. Aggressive management, coordination and early recognition of critical issues helps to deal with emergencies in a shorter time and therefore reduces the Maternal Mortality Rate.

Timely undertaking vital clinical intervention is strongly linked to effective teamwork.
