Apple Vision Pro, the company's first spatial computer, is now available.
Today, Apple revealed Apple Vision Pro, a ground breaking spatial computer that allows users to remain in the moment and socially engaged while blending digital material with the real environment. With Vision Pro, applications can build an endless canvas that extends beyond the confines of a conventional display and features a completely three dimensional user interface that can be controlled by the the most instinctive and natural inputs imaginable the hands, eyes, and voice of the user. With Vision Pro, users can engage with digital information as if it were physically present in their location thanks to visions, the first spatial operating system in history. The ground breaking Vision Pro design includes custom Apple silicon in a novel dual chip architecture, an ultra high resolution display system that packs 23 million pixels across two panels, and other technologies that guarantee every experience seems like it's happening in front of the user's eyes in real time.
As the first spatial operating system in history, visionOS integrates digital material with the actual environment and is based on the macOS, iOS, and iPadOS platforms.
"Invention in almost every aspect of the system was necessary to create our first spatial computer," stated Mike Rockwell, president of Technology Development Group at Apple. We created the most powerful personal electronics device to date—a standalone spatial computer in a small wearable form factor by tightly integrating hardware and software.
App running on visions can resize to the ideal size, occupy the available space surrounding users, and be transferred to any location. They even cast shadows in response to lights.
With a screen that feels 100 feet wide, users can turn any area into their own home theater. With a subscription, viewers can stream Foundation on Apple TV+.
