It seems like, after the Oscars’ slap, Chris Rock has one more reason to hate another Smith. So, why's the comedian going after Will Smith's daughter now? Let's find out!
Willow Smith is no stranger to controversy. It comes quite naturally when you're the outspoken child of two of the most notable personalities in the entertainment industry, especially ones that know how to make some trouble on their own.
Will Smith, for example, stunned the world as he got on stage to slap Chris Rock during the 94th Academy Awards earlier this year, all because he made an unsavory joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. That's hardly a moment you can forget.
Even though, months after the incident, Will Smith released a youtube video apologizing for his actions, it seems like this one mistake will be following him around for the rest of his career. Chris Rock, for once, is not looking to exchange pleasantries with the "Men In Black" actor anytime soon. He may not have filed a report with the LAPD, but that doesn't mean he's going to look past what happened that easily.
And as for the rest of the world, they're not ready to forgive Will either. Well, then what about his family?
In a recent interview with Billboard, Willow Smith sat down to give her two cents on the entire situation. She said that “the infamous slap didn't rock her as much as her own internal demons.”
The 21-year-old further added that "I see my whole family as being human, and I love and accept them for all their humanness."
Explaining her point, Willow added that because of the position the family is in, their humanness sometimes isn't accepted, and they're accepted to act in a way that isn't conducive to a healthy human life or, honestly, for that particular matter.
But is that going to get the family in Chris' good books? Not for the time being, that's for sure. He's busy touring Australia. However, he did address the Will Smith slap in one of his recent shows but not in the detail we'd like.
All he said was that he couldn't bring himself to watch Men In Black again. The 57-year-old also joked about how he was hit by the actor who played Ali, referring to Smith's role in the 2001 film where he played the character of three-time heavyweight boxing champion “Muhammad Ali”.
It's hard to imagine Chris reconciling with Will especially given that not all of the Smiths consider what he did wrong. Even Will Smith's son Jaden also has some opinions on the incident, much like his sibling, just not the same ones.
Moments after the slap, he tweeted, "And That's How We Do It." Looks like Will is all too happy watching his dad defend his mom in front of the entire world.
With that said, if the Smiths plan to get in Chris' good books, they'd have to get on the same page.
As for Willow Smith, she might want to take back her words because the people are not having them. One fan even tweeted, "Somebody should punch Willow Smith in the teeth and then tell her "oops! It was my humanness and my human mistake."
Sheesh! Maybe the" Meet Me At Our Spot" singer needs to look into extra protection.
