Here are 13 weight loss snack ideas that are quick, healthy, low calorie, and most importantly, delicious! Because losing  weight does not have to be a chore. It has to be enjoyable for it to work and for you to stick with it. Most kindergartners are given a snack box, which is a large lidded container filled with kid snacks. In most cases, parents are expected to send snacks for the entire class with their child. Many parents buy common junk food for their children's snack boxes, such as cookies and candy.

When parents are informed about the junk food being distributed in the classroom, they often wonder if their children are pulling their legs. They may even call other parents whose children are in the same class to confirm what they have heard.

The issue with these children's foods is that they contain refined sugars, which are harmful to their health. It would appear strange that a parent with an overweight kindergartener would send this type of junk food, not caring to undo the damage.

What do you do when you are concerned about your child's health? What can you say to other parents to convince them that their children should eat healthier snacks? Because of the risk of food-borne illness, homemade snacks are no longer permitted in the school. Healthy snacks must be purchased from a store, be nutritious, and appealing to kindergarten students. If parents are concerned about the amount of junk food in a school's classroom, the first thing they should do is brainstorm ways to communicate their concerns to other parents. Many of these snack ideas are frequently taught at fat/weight loss camps.

There are numerous snack ideas that you can implement; keep in mind that doing so for an entire classroom may take some time. One solution is to have the teacher print a take-home sheet with different snack ideas. The teacher, on the other hand, does not want 20 or more students consuming sugar all day.

Here are seventeen classroom activities that parents can implement in their child's classroom. Remember that some of these will not work in class due to a food allergy; always check with the teacher about this.

Take a small sliced apple and spread a thin layer of walnut butter (or peanut butter, if you prefer) across each slice.

Place two slices of turkey on a slice of whole wheat bread and top with a slice of tomato for a quick, filling low-fat sandwich.

For all you tortilla fans out there, 5 baked tortilla chips with some low-fat bean dip will completely satisfy your hunger.

I adore berry fruit and begin each day with a cup of low-fat yogurt mixed with a cup of strawberries or berries.

Broiled eggplant that has been peeled and sliced, then seasoned with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. This is extremely low-fat, with only 18 calories for three slices, making it ideal for a weight-loss snack or side dish.

Half a cup low-fat cottage cheese with a peach, pear, or other favorite fruit

A fruit and yogurt smoothie is my personal favorite. Simply add some ice, and you're ready to go. Yum! Snack for weight loss

Baked sweet potato with low-fat cottage cheese - for a quickie, just pop it in the microwave, but baking the potato in the oven adds a flavor you won't want to miss.

Frozen grapes are an excellent weight-loss snack; you'll be surprised at how delicious they are! I also enjoy the satisfying CRUNCH.

A cup of hummus-dipped baby carrots

5 whole grain cracker with low-fat cheese I like to spread ketchup on the cracker and then melt the cheese on top in

A toaster oven, or if you don't have one, the microwave and oven will suffice.

A cup of raisins and unsalted nuts

A cup of frozen orange juice - this snack is a real summer treat...for both me and the kids. Aside from the taste

You can choose whatever juice you want, the advantage is that it takes a long time to eat - ideal for when you're short on time.

Kinder Mix - This snack contains yogurt-covered raisins, cashews, and soy nuts.

Strawberries and Crème - For this snack, use plain vanilla yogurt and either sliced or frozen unsweetened

Strawberries.

Contact local restaurants and delis to see if they would be willing to donate supplies like tester spoons and disposable ramekins.

Toffee/sugar coated nuts - While there is sugar in this snack, it contains plenty of vitamins, omega 3 fatty acid and protein. Grapes - make sure you rinse the grapes and cut them into clusters of five.

Turkey cheese roll-ups - Roll up one piece of Turkey (lean) and cheese together. Remember, the foods are not meals, only snacks.

One word of caution: Just make sure not to go overboard - too much snacking (even of the low calorie stuff) won't help those tires round your middle disappear.

Enjoy your snacking!
