How do you prevent from getting cancer?

 In many cases, cancer is something that is caused by certain lifestyle choices. Of course, smoking or exposure to sunlight can lead to cancer. Hence exposure to certain toxins and an unhealthy lifestyle in general. However, there are steps you can take to prevent cancer. This means you will never get cancer; Sometimes you are prone to cancer. But it does mean that you are doing everything you can to stay healthy.

If you have a family history of cancer, you don't want to do things that increase your chances of getting cancer. Here's what you can do to prevent it. 

  1. Reduce your sugar intake. It has been proven that cancer develops in an environment rich in glucose. Low oxygen and high sugar increase the risk of cancer.
  2. Maintain proper pH (potential hydrogen) in your body. A good high pH level is rich in oxygen and an environment where cancers do not thrive. So keep your pH above 7.0. To do this, drink lots of water, eliminate soda, reduce the amount of meat you eat, cut back on sweets, and eat lots of green vegetables.
  3. Exercise regularly. It doesn't matter what kind of exercise - just keep moving.
  4.  Get enough sleep. Your body needs that time or rest to rejuvenate cells, so make sure you're getting the right amount of sleep.
  5. Vitamin and mineral supplements can help maintain healthy body chemistry.
  6. Do not use tobacco products. This goes for smoking or chewing. Tobacco products have been linked to a variety of cancers including lung, bladder, cervix, kidney, oral cavity, and pancreas. Avoid tobacco products at all costs and you can greatly reduce your risk of developing cancer.
  7. Protect yourself from the sun. Use a sunscreen with an SPF (sun protection factor) of at least 15. Reuse often. Cover yourself with clothing. Wear dark colors. Wear a hat. Avoid midday sun. Stay in the shade. Avoid tanning beds and lamps.
  8. Stay up-to-date on your immunizations. Protecting yourself from certain types of viruses can reduce your chances of getting certain cancers. Hepatitis B and HPV (human papillomavirus) are two vaccinations you should have.
  9. Keep up with your medical care. Seeing your doctor regularly and getting screened for cancer can help you catch a problem early and possibly prevent it from turning into cancer. These ten things are just a few ways to take cancer into your own hands and reduce your risk. Nothing in life is guaranteed, but following these tips will make you feel better.
