Bronchitis & It's Causes

Bronchitis is the inflammation of the bronchial tubes in the lungs. There are two types of bronchitis:-

  • Acute Bronchitis:- A person may devlop a cough or trouble in breathing after a virus, called as cold or flu. A person may devlop sudden breathing problems or notice breathing problems with illness. Fungal infections occasionally cause bronchitis. Besides infection, exposure to substance that irritate the lungs, such as dust, flames & air pollution can also cause bronchitis.
  • Chronic Bronchitis:- Chronic bronchitis causes inflammation of the airways. It's also known as a type of "COPD" means chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Chronic bronchitis not go away, although symptoms can wax & wane.

Bronchitis may very in forms & it's typically in the forms of viruses & bacteria, it's lastly affects your lungs from a few days to a few weeks. Some symptoms include:-

  • Chest intense pain & coughing
  • Trouble in breathing
  • Producing clear, green or yellow mucus
  • Fever of chills
  • Sore throat

 

 

What are the treatments of acute & chronic bronchitis?

Acute bronchitis are viral, treatments need to take rest, drinking plenty of fluids, take over the counter pain relievers & cough meditation.

A humidifier can also helping to ease coughing at night. When a bacterial infection causes bronchitis, docter may recommend antibiotics.

Chronic bronchitis is not curable. however a number of interventions can help a person breath more easily.

Some docters recommend inhalers, oxygen, pulmonary therapy & other medications to help in reduction of airways inflammation.

Acute & chronic bronchitis are more common in people who smoke. If they leave smoking than it's reduce the risk of bronchitis and prevent the damage of airways.

Chronic bronchitis disease has serious complications, including death from heart or lung damage. Acute bronchitis does not usually cause serious complications. However, in a person with a weak immune system, it may lead to other infections, including pneumonia & sepsis.

 

 

Pneumonia & its symptoms

Pneumonia is a very serious health issue and it's can be in the form of bacterial, viral or fungal. People with chronic medical conditions may repeatedly get pneumonia. Many people develop pneumonia after a viral infection. It is also possible to get pneumonia after bronchitis infections.

Some symptoms that may help distinguish pneumonia include:-

  • Nausea & vomiting, particularly in children & babies
  • Rapid, shallow breathing
  • Loss of appetite
  • Confusion in some people, especially seniors
  • Muscle aches
  • Mucus or chest pain

 

 

How can pneumonia cure?

Taking pain relievers to reduce pain and control a person's fever. Drinking plenty of fluids, getting lots of tests, avoid smoking, using a humidifier or steam to help loosen mucus affect in lungs.

Some people find relief from cough medicine, coughing is an important way for ged rid of infections. Some people with pneumonia may need supportive care in the hospital. It is more dangerous in babies, Young children, seniors and people with other illness.

Pneumonia can decrease blood oxygen and damage the organs. People with pneumonia may die from respiratory failure, sepsis and lung abscesses.

The same infections that cause bronchitis may also cause pneumonia. Chronic bronchitis is a risk factor for developing pneuomia and other serious infections.
