How did the hen and the lion become friends?

Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there lived a small hen named Henny. Henny was very proud of her small but cozy coop, which she had built all by herself. She loved to scratch around for grains and peck at worms in the dirt. She had a simple but contented life.

One day, a lion named Leo wandered into the forest. Leo was the king of the jungle and had grown tired of his usual routine. He wanted a new adventure, and the forest seemed like the perfect place to explore. As he roamed the forest, he came across Henny's coop.

Henny was very afraid when she saw the lion approaching her coop. She knew that lions are dangerous predators and could easily hurt her. She ran inside her coop, hoping that the lion would go away.

But Leo was curious about the little hen. He had never seen a bird so small before, and he wanted to get a closer look. He circled the coop, studying it carefully.

Henny, who was watching the lion from the safety of her coop, was surprised when the lion spoke to her.

"Hello, little hen," the lion said, in a deep, rumbling voice.

Henny was so surprised that she couldn't speak for a few moments. Finally, she mustered up the courage to speak.

"H-Hello, Mr. Lion," she said, her voice trembling.

Leo was pleased that the little hen had spoken to him. He smiled, revealing his sharp teeth.

"Don't be afraid, little hen," he said. "I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to talk."

Henny was still afraid, but she tried to calm herself. She knew that if the lion wanted to hurt her, he would have already done it.

"What do you want to talk about?" she asked.

"I want to know more about you," Leo said. "I've never seen a bird like you before. You're so small and delicate."

Henny was flattered that the lion found her interesting. She began to relax a little.

"Well, I'm just a simple hen," she said. "I live in this coop and scratch around for grains and worms. That's about it."

Leo was surprised that such a small creature could be so content with such a simple life.

"Is that all you want?" he asked. "To scratch around for grains and worms?"

Henny thought for a moment. She had never really thought about it before.

"Well, I guess so," she said. "I'm happy with what I have."

Leo was intrigued by the little hen's contentment. He had always thought that the key to happiness was power and domination. But here was a small creature who was happy with very little.

He decided to stay and talk to Henny some more. They spent the afternoon chatting, and Leo learned a lot about the little hen's simple but contented life. Henny, in turn, learned a lot about the lion's life in the jungle.

As the sun began to set, Leo realized that he had spent the entire day with the little hen. He had never spent so much time with any creature before. He was surprised at how much he had enjoyed himself.

As he got up to leave, he turned to Henny.

"Thank you for spending the day with me, little hen," he said. "I've learned a lot from you."

Henny smiled, feeling happy that she had made a new friend.

"You're welcome, Mr. Lion," she said. "I'm glad I could show you a little bit of my world."

From that day on, Leo visited Henny every day. They would spend hours talking and sharing stories. Henny showed Leo how to scratch around for
