How Deepika Padukone started her carrier

Padukone, the daughter of badminton player Prakash Padukone, was raised in Bangalore following her birth in Copenhagen. When she was younger, she participated in national badminton competitions; however, she gave up the sport to pursue a career as a fashion model. She received offers for movie roles very rapidly, and in 2006 she made her feature film debut as the lead in the Kannada film Aishwarya.
