The origin of cricket was long ago. It was first seen in England. The first ever international cricket game was played between the USA and Canada in 1844 at the St George's Cricket Club in New York. Then it was spread all over the world.

All INTERNATIONAL cricket matches are managed by ICC. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the world governing body of cricket. It was founded as the IMPERIAL CRICKET CONFERENCE in 1909 by representatives from Australia, England and South Africa. In 1979 WORLD CUP, the defending champion WEST INDIES won their second World Cup. The tournament was hosted by England. In the final match of this tournament, West Indies beat England by 92 runs.

In 1983 world cup, the record of West Indies was broken by India. They won their first WORLD CUP magically. They scored only 183 runs. But the bowlers of India were able to stop West Indies in 140 runs and, they won that match by 43 runs. Thus, magically, India won their first World Cup. This tournament was hosted by England.

In 1987 Australia won their first World Cup by beating England by only 7 runs. This tournament was hosted by India and Pakistan.

In 1992 Pakistan won their first World Cup by beating England by 22 runs. This tournament was hosted by Australian and England.

In 1996 Sri Lanka won their first World Cup. Sri Lanka beat Australia by 7 wickets. The tournament was hosted by Pakistan and India.

The next World Cup was to hold in 1999. In this World Cup, Australia won their second World Cup by beating Pakistan by 8 wickets. This tournament was hosted by England.

In 2003 the defending champion Australia won their third World Cup by beating India by 125 runs. This tournament was hosted by South Africa.

As a hat trick, AUSTRALIA won their fourth World Cup in 2007 by beating Sri Lanka by 53 runs. This tournament was hosted by West Indies.

In 2011 the record of Australia was broken by India. India won their second World Cup against Sri Lanka. India won this game by 6 wickets. This tournament was hosted by India and Bangladesh

In 2015 another World Cup was won by Australian which gave them a title of THE FIVE TIMES WORLD CHAMPION. In the final match, they beat NEW ZEALAND by 7 wickets. This tournament was hosted by AUSTRALIAN and NEW ZEALAND.

In 2019 ENGLAND won their first World Cup. They beat NEW ZEALAND in the final match. At first the regular match was tied, then the super over also tied. But ENGLAND won that game by boundary count...........

Another type of WORLD CUP called T20 WORLD CUP was started in 2007. It was a WORLD CUP of 20 overs.

The first T20 WORLD CUP was hold in 2007. INDIA won the first T20 WORLD CUP and that was also their first T20 WORLD CUP. In the final game, India beat PAKISTAN and won their 1st T20 WORLD CUP.

In 2009 PAKISTAN beat SRI LANKA and won their first World Cup.

In 2016 WEST INDIES won their second T20 World Cup by beating England.

In 2021 Australia won their first T20 World Cup.............
