Cristiano Ronaldo, full Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro (born February 5, 1985, Funchal, Madeira, Portugal), father of Ronaldo, Portuguese soccer striker, who was one of the greatest players of his generation. His best season at United was from 2007 to 2008 when he scored 42 "leagues" and FA Cup goals and won the Golden Boot award as Europe's top scorer with 31 league goals.

Shortly afterwards, Ronaldo sold to Spain's Real Madrid (a club he had long rumored to be playing for) for a then record transfer fee of £80 million. His scoring prowess continued with his new team. He scored the most goals in Riga's history (40 goals) during the 2010-11 season (his record was the following season). From 2011 to 2012, Ronaldo helped Madrid win the La Liga title, scoring a personal best 46 goals during the league season.

In 2013, he played 56 times for the national teams of Madrid and Portugal, scoring a total of 66 goals and earning his second world cap. Player of the Year Award (FIFA Player of the Year was renamed FIFA Ballon d'Or in 2010). In 2014, he scored 52 goals in 43 games and led Madrid to the Champions League. As a result, Ronaldo won another Ballon d'Or. In the 2014–15 season, he scored 48 goals and led the league in goals.

Ronaldo became the best scorer in the club's history by scoring his 324th goal as a Real player in October 2015. He scored 35 goals in La Liga in 2015-16 and helped Real to a record 11th Champions League title. In December 2016, he won his fourth professional Ballon d'Or for his achievements. Ronaldo scored 42 goals in all 2016 tournaments for Real. 17 and led his team to the title of La Liga season and the European Champions League and brought him the fifth Golden Ball award of his career. In the 2017-18 season, he scored 44 goals in 44 games and Real won their third consecutive Champions League title. In July 2018, he signed a 4-year contract with Italian powerhouse Juventus for €112 million (about $132 million).

He finished his true career with 311 goals in 292 games. He scored 28 goals in his first season at Juventus. This is the lowest number of goals scored in this country since Manchester United last season. Powerhouse Club won the Italian League for the eighth time in a row. Ronaldo made his senior international debut against Portugal's Kazakhstan in August 2003 (four days after his United debut). He was a key player in Portugal's fourth-place finish in the 2006 World championship.
