How can we prevent shoe bite?

 

We are all familiar with shoe bites, and we all experience with at some point in our daily life. We all find difficulty in walking at this time. So what is show bite? Yes, a  shoe bite is a painful area on your foot that results from friction from rubbing against your shoe.

One of the simplest methods to prevent shoe bites is to purchase a shoe that fits you properly. If you purchase the wrong size shoe, it will definitely cause a shoe bite. It will cause pain and discomfort, which makes you not wearing that shoe. If you have shoes causing shoe bites, consider not wearing them because the continued wearing of that shoe will cause a scar( that means pigmentation) on that area which affects your self-confidence.

Although sometimes we really like that pair of shoes that cause shoe bites, some solutions might help.

 

1.Avoid friction

Friction is occurring between your feet and shoe, which causes pain and a burning sensation. try these hacks to avoid,

a)Apply paper tape

 

It is instrumental in preventing shoe bites. The surgical tape from the medical shop can be used. Tape is fit into the feet in which you may experience pain. It should be smooth and should not be so tight. A single layer is enough. Otherwise, it will not be attached properly. It should be adhesive so that force can't dislodge them Easily.

 

b) Insert shoe pads

It is useful to prevent blister formation. The painful area gets enough time to heal by applying it, and the scar is healed without pigmentation. It prevents abrasion in areas such as your heels.

C)Wear socks

The most common preventive measure is wearing socks. It will act as a cushion between your feet and shoe. The availability is also high for this method.

 

2. Make our shoes comfortable

 A new shoe can cause a shoe bite. Some shoes need to be worn a few times to break in their initial stiffness. By making your shoe more comfortable, we can reduce the chance of shoe bites.
 Some recommendations that make your shoe more comfortable is ;


  • Use plastic shoe shapers or wooden shoe shapers overnight to generally stretch them, which will ultimately reduce the friction and make them more comfortable.


  •  some oil that is familiar in our daily lives, such as neatsfoot oil, mink oil, coconut oil, or olive oil, apply them to the edges of leather shoes that are hurting your feet. After a few days, the shoes should be softer and less abrasive and cause less pain.


  •  Wear thick socks. Then, use your hairdryer to heat the tight spots for about 30 seconds. Walk around while the shoe material is still warm and flexible. After that, when you think they’re ready, take off your socks and try them on.

Now you are familiar with the preventive measures. If you have a shoe bite, it is necessary to treat them first, so the following session discusses how to treat the shoe bite.

 

•If the painful area shows blisters, it might heal in its own way. But we should keep it away from the causative agent such as the shoe. In other words, don't use the shoe, which causes shoe bite. Avoid it till the area heals itself.

 Although the skin over the blister will help protect it from infection, consider applying a bandage to the area to keep it clean.


Recent studies found that honey has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that help us relieve pain and burning sensation. • Application of Honey is good for pain relief. It's a good medicament since it's available anywhere.


• Application of aloe vera is also found beneficial.  Because of its high availability rate, it can be used by most people. It has good healing and anti-inflammatory properties, which make aloe vera the most demanding one.

 


• Rubbing the site with petroleum jelly is a good method for relieving pain.

      If the shoe bite causes scaring, use rice four to eliminate the pigmentation. It is a homemade exfoliating scrub. Mix one tablespoon of rice flour with water to make a thick paste and apply it on the shoe bite scar. Leave it on for 15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.
