We will be planting 40 trees each spring.
Many varieties that grow in the Georgia area.
We do not get them in the northern part of the state.
Here are the trees that will be planted in one of our back yards.
The one on the left is an assortment of Ponderosa Pine, Norway Spruce and Eastern Hemlock.
There are also 2 magnolia trees, and a dogwood.
The magnolia tree is to the right of this one.
The trees will take a few years to grow but in 4 - 5 years we will have a lovely shade garden in our back yard.
This blog is to inform you of my progress with this project.
At the time that the trees were planted in the photo above we had no idea where the lawn would be.
As soon as I know that information I will put the tree in that area.
Thanks for visiting!
When I was growing up we always had summer watermelon in the backyard.
In my yard today I have a vine.
I dug it up and moved it to the backyard.
This has been an extremely hard summer and I had many plants that died.
I have a lot of flowers in the yard and I am putting them in pots and planting them in the backyard where the tomato plants were.
I am also having a lot of tomatoes.
Last summer my grandfather gave me some limes that he had.
I planted them and they never grew.
I knew that they should be in a pot, so I looked up how to plant them and now I have 20 limes in a pot.
When I find out how much the watermelon is I will let you know.
When I was growing up I always made plans for summer.
I would go to the beach and lay on the sand and read a book.
I would go to the lake and swim.
I would go swimming in a pond and walking around.
I would always have a watermelon to eat.
As I was thinking about what I would like to do this summer, I remembered this.
We never do anything on the weekends.
That is what is called R U IN Y....
Anyway, I alsoI remembered my plans for last summer and this past winter.
I will be back to post about those later.
If anyone would like to suggest something for me to do this summer just write me a comment.
I will not always do what is suggested but I do need to get some things done around here.
Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon!
