There has been an increase in the sale of electric vehicles in India in recent months. People are buying electric cars in cities. Tata has sold 4000 Tata Nexon EVs till last month. Automobile companies are launching new Electric cars with better technology and performance. Morris Garages ZS EV is an addition to that list. These electric vehicles have higher top speed, better power and acceleration, and a more extended range in one charge than their previous models.
Although these EVs are expensive than conventional petrol/diesel/CNG vehicles, their running cost is meager compared to traditional cars. EVs make no pollution while running because electric vehicles use electricity as their fuel source. It doesn’t use petrol/diesel/CNG, which means that you won’t have to stop by the fuel station ever again. Just imagine how much money you will save by not purchasing fuel to make your car run?
These EVs can be a solution to the pollution created by conventional vehicles, especially in big cities. Also, Electric cars do not make any sound as these vehicles do not have an engine.
Conventional fuels are scarce. Their sources are depleting as their consumption is very high, and they also create pollution. Electricity generation also uses coal in thermal power plants, but non-conventional sources of electricity generation are also getting popular.
Electric cars get their power from an electric motor instead of your traditional internal combustion engine. The electric motor is powered by the battery bank installed in the electric vehicle. Although you do need to charge the batteries, you will see that with today’s battery cell technology, a few rupees worth of electricity will be able to get you a hundred kilometers with your electric car before you ever need to recharge the batteries pack again.
So, if you use your car every day, you can easily add 1500-2000 rupees to your monthly electric bill, which is way better than spending 9-10000 rupees a month on fuel. In the long run, you will see that electric cars are far cheaper than conventional fuel-powered cars.
It is like a one-time investment buying an Electric Vehicle, and you can enjoy hassle-free rides for years. By owning electric vehicles, you also feel that you are contributing to preserving nature and not polluting the environment because electric cars do not emit harmful gases. These gases contribute to greenhouse gas in the atmosphere and ultimately global warming. Pollution is a significant environmental concern that people have today; electric vehicles promise to solve that concern.
In the year 2021, more electric vehicles will be launched in the Indian automobile market. People are waiting for less expensive and better-performance electric cars. With the advancement in battery cell technology, better-performance electric vehicles will be launched shortly.
