How Brain Stroke Might Be Knocking At Your Door For The Following Inappropriate Lifestyle Habits

Brain stroke takes place in a human being after the blood supply in the brain is altered, leading to insufficient blood supply in the vital organ. This causes the organs in the brain responsible for movements, emotions and other functions to lack sufficient oxygen to perform their role. This causes some brain cells to die while others get damaged, causing a medical problem.

Brain Stroke does not affect human beings overnight. People who are most likely to engage in undesirable lifestyle habits are most susceptible to being victims of the deadly disease. Some of the lifestyle habits that can cause brain stroke include smoking, lack of exercise, chronic drinking and other risk factors for stroke.

SMOKING

According to sources, medical professionals at Johns Hopkins medicine point out that smoking is a very dangerous habit. Not only does smoking lead to a possible brain stroke, but also harms the body after consumption. The smoke from tobacco and marijuana contains intoxications that injure the body and trigger the deadly disease. People who are active smokers are most likely to be victims of brain stroke as they lead to high Blood Pressure(BP) which is highly associated with brain stroke.

LACK OF EXERCISE

Being inactive is very dangerous to the human body. People who do not exercise and spend most of their time at their house are most likely to be obese.  Obese takes place after some of the fats gained by the body after metabolic activities are not gotten rid of from the body through exercises. This can also lead to other chronic diseases that can cause people to lose their lives.

CHRONIC DRINKING

Johns Hopkins medicine points out that chronic drinking can lead to life-threatening illnesses. Chronic drinkers consume alcohol each and every day, and this causes their blood pressure to remain high always. Women who drink more than six units of alcohol are also at risk factor of falling into high (BP). High (BP) leads to stroke therefore, the two diseases are somehow related as one leads to another.

OTHER RISK FACTORS

There are uncontrollable risk factors such as genes that make people susceptible to brain stroke. This is where some people out of nowhere are diagnosed with the disease as their forefathers used to suffer from the disease. Many people who mind about their health and do not indulge in the consumption of drugs such as cigarettes and alcohol can fall ill with the disease due to hereditary family diseases.

In conclusion, people should be very careful about their lifestyle choices and habits, as brain stroke can 'knock at their door' at any moment in time in their life. People should ensure they avoid smoking cigarettes, weed,  and other intoxications, avoid binge-drinking of alcohol, and exercise regularly to get rid of fats in the body and pray to God to do the rest and protect them from hereditary family diseases. We should ensure that we do not fall into the vices of peer pressure that lead us to indulge in drugs that will cause us to regret later in life.
