WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden said Monday night that the U.S. directed a robot strike that killed al-Qaeda pioneer Ayman al-Zawahiri in Afghanistan, a disclosure expected to corrupt the fear gathering's capacity to work.
"He cut a path of homicide and brutality against American residents, American servicemembers, American representatives and American interests," Biden said of the pre-day break accuracy strike that killed al-Zawahiri.
"We made it clear again this evening that regardless of what amount of time it requires, regardless of where you stow away assuming you are a danger to our kin the United States will discover you and take you," Biden added.
Two individuals informed on the strike affirmed to NBC News that the strike that killed al-Zawahiri was led by the CIA.
