England have taken Test cricket by storm with the new approach having won all four Tests chasing this summer. The 'Bazball', however, was given a reality check by something similar by India in the first innings when wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant took on English bowlers despite his side being five wickets down.

Pant solely helped India dominate the first day scoring an 89-ball century. His innings of 146 (111) was crucial in India getting to a 416-run total. Pant also scored 57 runs in the second innings as he ended up having a fabulous Test match, however, England proved to be too good for the visitors as they cruised to a 7-wicket victory.

Pant received huge praise from England captain Ben Stokes as the star all-rounder said that the way he plays he could very well fit in their team. Speaking after the game, Stokes said, "He is someone who would fit very well in our team at the moment, Rishabh, the way that he goes about to play the game."But as Pant's graph continues to rise in Tests, his limited-overs form, especially the T20Is, remain a concern. In 48 T20Is, Pant has scored 715 runs with three half-centuries, the last of which came against West Indies in February. But for such a fantastic Test player, his numbers in white-ball formats aren't exactly jaw-dropping. The notion going around at the moment is that Pant is a far better Test player than in ODIs and T20Is, but if former England fast bowler Darren Gough is to be believed, that will change soon.

"He played so very well. There is no way Pant will not get runs in T20 cricket for India in the next 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 years. He will dominate T20 cricket. He has got such a talent. Stokes said that despite being in the opposition he absolutely loved Pant going about his business and also felt great that the 24-year-old was getting praised all over after being criticised for being reckless. "Rishabh Pant's innings for India in the first innings was obviously against us, but I absolutely loved watching it," he said. "Being on the receiving end of something like that is just is incredible to watch. "And it's great to see now that someone like Rishabh, who's obviously received his criticism over the years, is now getting applauded for that," he added.Stokes said that it was great for England to get his wicket early in the second innings as they knew he is someone who could take the game away from them. India were folded for 245 in the second innings and England chased down 378 runs with two sessions to go by 7 wickets as Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow scored respective centuries un belivable victory
