How Bat feed their young ones.....

The Animal (Mammal)
A bat is the only mammal capable of true, sustained flight. Belonging to the order Chiroptera, these nocturnal creatures are known for navigating through the night sky using echolocation.

Bats feed their babies with milk, just like other mammals.

A baby bat is called a pup. After birth, the mother bat:

  • holds the pup close to her body,

  • nurses it with milk from her mammary glands,

  • and keeps it warm and protected.

Young pups usually cling to their mother or stay in a nursery colony while the mother searches for food.

As the pup grows:

  1. It begins to develop wings and fur.

  2. The mother gradually reduces milk feeding.

  3. The young bat learns to fly and hunt insects, fruit, nectar, or other food depending on the species.

Some bat mothers can even recognize their own baby’s voice and smell among thousands of pups in a colony.
