I like to spend hours looking at the empty markets for different things. Different vendors set up their products in a central location so that consumers can spend their time wandering around and seeing new and used items available for sale. You never know what you'll encounter in the flea market. There are plenty of new and used items, as well as home crafts and clothes to choose from.
Helping to make your day in the flea market even better can be planned for the day. Most markets are foreign, so you may want sunscreen and a hat. Some are inside, so make sure you get it early. You do not want to be frustrated if you cannot get the right pitch, so invest in a good capo. Some less expensive cars wrap and wrap around the trunk of your car.
Make sure you wear good walking shoes, too, so you don’t end up every morning because of tired feet. A good tip to help if you are tired of walking to the end of the vendors and working your way forward. This way, you will have a much heavier load on your purchases when you are close to your car. Remember that most people start at the door of the flea market, so if you start at the back, you will be able to see a lot of things before a lot of other people can see.
Most flea markets are offered on weekends but, some of them take place during the week. The number of other people looking around is usually lower during the week but, so is the number of vendors. By going to a market full of plains the first thing in the morning, you may be able to take advantage of the choice before everyone has it. At the end of the day, though, many retailers are more determined to lower prices on the remaining items. They do not want to pack more at the end of the day than they should. If you have something in mind and can wait until the end of the day, you will get a better price. You are also in danger of being snatched away by someone, even though it is one of a kind.
There are different ways to negotiate the price of any given item. You can ask the seller what price they are going to take to get it. You can also offer to pay a certain amount and see if they will accept the offer. If you want to donate $10 have that money in your hand for them to see. Seeing money often entices them to make money.
I found that it was always worth my time to look around because I could find a seller on the next track with the same item for $10 less. If I go back and look for something with a particular seller, I write down their location because at the end of the day it can be hard to remember who is where.
