We all live our lives as if there is no way back. We try so hard to make sense of what is happening around us and try to find meaning in it all. But sometimes reality sets in and the world becomes impossible to solve. There will be a point where you just can’t continue anymore, and the only choice will be leaving your life in search of peace and tranquility. This idea has made me think about how best to handle this sort of situation in society. Everyone has their own personal beliefs about what is good and bad, but I believe that some truth can be found if someone seeks out to look further into the “darkness” in life and trying to figure out why they are there. And I think that when we talk about the fact that we live in an imperfect world it is important to realize that we are still making our way towards a better one.
I was born with big dreams for myself and my family, so there is nothing I want more than to be successful in everything that I do. But my parents try their hardest to keep every dream from spilling and being blown away. Because I tell them that the world doesn’t revolve around them and that success will come to anyone who puts their heart into it. In fact, my father’s favorite quote says that when his son tries something new, the universe takes responsibility, and he knows that he deserves each step in his journey. When I say he deserves it, I actually mean it. My mother also works hard for the family. She wants her children to have things they could never have. For example, she worked herself and got to graduate college and she didn’t give up. Because of this work ethic, she and my dad have a happy life together. To this day, I still don’t know why people don’t see my mom as successful and successful. (I can’t remember what type of career she has now) All I know is that I love my mom and what she has done for me, because I love her too!
But my dad was very strict and very intelligent. He had a difficult, but yet loving relationship with my Mom. She wanted him to be successful, as well as being a great father figure for me. So, we were both working against the odds, and I think that we came out on top. But, then again, maybe it’s just him being stubborn and having a tough childhood on account of his parents, which I believe is why he keeps working so hard. And I believe that he knows why he is hard on himself. It is his own fault that he gets frustrated at times and wants to quit, but he doesn’t want that to end his life. Sometimes, he really hates his job and finds reasons to just leave. I think I understand why he left and why he decided to pursue his other passions outside of his office as a lawyer. Even the idea of the job seems like it could put everything in perspective.
But I can’t blame him for wanting a change, either way. After all, he took the job that he wanted. His friends made fun of him for taking the job, but they were only teasing him. Although a lot of people told him to stay, there was a time where he did so. And although he was being bullied by a large number of people that made him lose a few things in the process, he kept going forward the whole time. As long as he could get what he wanted, he didn’t care what others thought. No matter what it meant to him, he was making the decision to move ahead, even if he felt like quitting. Now I think about that time in detail every day because I have tried to learn more about my dad’s personality in order to figure out what makes him different. This isn’t easy because I am only five years older than my daddy, but I am learning more and more everyday, and I can see why he does things how he does them.
He loves his family, and he loves money. He loves his wife, and he loves his kids. He enjoys spending time together with his grandkids and doing activities that don’t require his full attention. He also has faith in the sky, and whenever I have a dream that I want to accomplish with my little brother, he knows that I will get it one day. He is the epitome of patience, because he is always looking at the positive side of his life. It might take him longer than my brothers, but that is okay because he takes that extra time. If he wants to try a new thing, he shows up and tries it. His goal in life is to achieve financial freedom and financial stability.
When my grandparents ask me if I am getting enough sleep, I can’t help but tell them that I am because I am dreaming, and they can’t stop me. A lot of times, that will come up in conversation and I have to admit that I need more sleep to get through the rest of the day. But, deep down I know that it is not a big deal, because I feel that if I put in the effort to be in that state every night before bed, and then it is done every single night I wake up, then I am going to do a pretty darn good job at it.
And if I am lucky enough to get a job with a company that gives me permission to work late, I can put myself in that position, knowing that I will get the most hours. I don’t mind, because I enjoy talking about it. My goal is to get paid enough to have a roof over my head, and I am focused on it every single day. I am hoping to accomplish everything I set out to do by 2021.
