The Jaguar XKR is equipped with a supercharged V-8 4.2-liter engine and a high-class calibration six-speed automatic transmission that helps the driver to ride well on the road. The up-rated 420 HP, which produces 413 pounds of torque, reflects the performance of the new XKR. Improvements in XKR power and torque have been achieved due to the latest additions to the engine components. For the first time, Jaguar engineers equipped the new XKR with a variable inlet camshaft timing system. This additional system helps the engine to adjust to different conditions depending on the speed and load volume.
