He is a famous YouTuber with 20.1 lakh subscribers, and good earnings, and has hitchhiked around 50,000 km till now. I think this is something that a person wants to achieve. He travels mostly solo. I'm talking about Nomad Shubham.
Who is Nomad Shubham, and what is his story?
He is from a small village in Bihar's Munger district. He had a dream of travelling since his childhood, when he was 13 years old. He wanted to become a marine engineer and a pilot. When he grew up, he realized that he didn't need to be a pilot or engineer to travel. Anyone can travel without those jobs, and he is doing it now. He was interested in geography. He remembered some maps of countries when he was thirteen years old, and his interest in travelling grew from there. Shubham has been travelling full time for four years.
So from where did his travelling career start? He was in Kota (Rajasthan) then for engineering studies. But he wasn't happy in the study. His first trip was in 2018 to Leh, Ladakh, and there he finally knew his passion and dream.
He watched many videos related to travel, and then he got enough knowledge in this field. But his real journey abroad started after watching a Ted Talk video on "How to Travel the World with Almost No Money". After that, he finally decided to do long-term travel outside India. Now he has visited so many countries, like Russia, Mongolia, China, Afghanistan, Iran, UAE, African countries, Serbia, Ukraine, and many more.
He has travelled to the coldest place on Earth, Yakutsk, as well as the most dangerous Afghanistan during the Taliban invasion, all with daring. He has been to around thirty countries.
But the interesting thing is that he started his journey without telling his parents about it, because they wanted him to do his studies and take a government job, but when he was getting famous, his parents also started supporting him.
What did he learn from his journey?
