This humorous news broke initially on Reddit where a user posted a thread on the platform, writing: “Nursing students who think using Amber Heard’s suffering on a pain scale is funny.” The same user also attached the picture of a person named Teila Keys who shared the following status with their Facebook friends: “My sister-in-law is in nursing school. She had an assignment to make a mock pain scale. This is so awesome!!!” A picture displayed the scale, which used several pictures of Amber from the trial, each displaying a different emotion, with ranges of pain associated with them.
This pain scale sparked an online debate with people arguing whether it was morally right to use Amber Heard’s emotional distress as a joke and mock her for her testimony involving rape. This news also made its way to Twitter, where an Amber fan tweeted: “a nursing student was assigned to do a ‘mock pain scale’ and she used amber heard, completely ridiculing her and rape testimony.”
Many linked it to a larger problem, like this person who added: “And these are the people who in their profession who will come into contact with rape victims and people have the gull to say "well why didn't you report". This is why.”
While not many people know who these medical students were or which Nursing School they belonged to, it is safe to say that no action was taken against them. Rather, they were celebrated and hailed as heroes by many. Others believed them to be sociopaths who should not be allowed to practice medicine in any shape or form.

The jury in the case found that a 2018 article written by the actor’s ex-wife on domestic violence was defamatory. But well before the verdict, social media users had already judged Heard well before any actual legal decision as a manipulator, with campaigns like #JusticeForJohnnyDepp trending on Twitter and TikTokkers using cats to mock her testimony.
While many believe this is wrong, it is also true that Amber has brought this upon herself by ruining Johnny’s life through her lies. The jury and court agreed with Depp’s lawyers that there was no proof to suggest that Amber was by Johnny and that most of the evidence was either circumstantial or flat-out doctored. Many would say this is just karma turning its ugly head toward Amber.
